Good afternoon everyone!
WOW... my first TOP!!


My strategy in buying Disney Dollars (available at any US Disney Store) is simplly that by putting some away each week I can save up and not be tempted to spend the money on anything else... as I would if the $$$ were in my checkbook or regular cash in an envelope around the house...LOL. Of course that won't stop me from spending them at WDW.... but I'm going to try and be good.
In reality you can't really spend them on the ship... since everything has to be charged to the shipboard account... but you could use them as tips I suppose. You can just deposit them like cash into your shipboard account though then charge away!!

Mary & Lisa... thanks for the info on CC parasailing. I think I might just stay on the ground (or ship) and take photos... sounds a lot better to me!! I'll let DH have all the high flying fun. I'm sure he'll enjoy it... Of the 3 times we've been to CC, I've only seen the parasailing going on once...and didn't pay too much attention. How long are you actually airborne??[

Can I get it to stay on my desktop somehow? That is of course if I can figure out how to get it at all....

Other people receive/give them as gifts. Some people think they are just fun to spend. They have Disney characters on them.

Go to the DISBoards home page and on the left is a column of boards available...The last one is the Tech board, where you will find simple instructions to print. Only thing that doesn't seem to be addressed is the case of the disappearing counters...There's a separate little program for desktop counters...somewhere...If you do a search on it ....I can't remember where I saw it...

Lynda, Happy Birthday, though I think it's belated!

We saw a Sneak Preview of 13 Going on 30 on April 10. Thought it was appropriate since DD turned 13 the next day. It was a very cute movie, JG is a doll. We've been fans of hers since Alias started, third season now. Nice to see her in a completely different role.

I've been learning about vintage fashion, so I can find it to sell on EBay. I have much better luck finding that than vintage dolls! It's fun too, I actually wore some of the styles that are now back "in", the first time! Anyway, this week I found two things I'm saving for the cruise. One is an early 70's sheer, flowery dress with split sleeves, perfect for disco night. The other is a Shaheen of Hawaii long pink dress with big hot pink flowers around the bottom, this one from the 60s. We will have a Tropical night, right? And will there be an 80's night? Those are pretty easy to find, though finding something I'm willing to wear is tough. I'm thinking I don't want to take this many dresses!

Met with Paul...we both have pictures for Mary. Turns out, though, that we didn't get along at all. Couldn't stand eachother.

HA! GOTCHA!!!! We actually had a great time, and couldn't quit talking. We had a marvelous meal.....the only bad part is that he forgot to bring a suitcase big enough for me to fit in, to go to WDW with him!

BTW - I left a note on the tech support board about the timers. There was a post that says if one timer is messed up on a thread it could effect all the others so I've asked tech support to look into ours. My counters work on all other threads so I think it might be a problem here and not across the boards.

Happy Thursday all. Leslie, I think you're airborne about 15 minutes in parasailing. DH didn't go for the dip your feet option where they drop you down enough to touch the water.

The countdown timers were actually written by a guy who was on our May 2002 inaugural western (Psiclops). He was a really nice guy, typical geek computer programmer who was surprising his wife with the cruise. He actually gave her a list of things to bring, and didn't tell her anything more. It wasn't until the Orlando airport that she knew her destination. Hope we get them working again. It's nice to see them for everyone (since I"m too lazy to add one to my sig).

Charlotte, enjoying this nice weather??? Just enough rain to keep the green things growing, and warm enough to tempt us all outside!

Stacey, glad you're back and that you had fun with Paul. I figured you were kidding. You both seem way too nice to have not gotten along!

Barb - aren't the new smilies fun? They added even more after my post yesterday - including the mickey bar!

i think it might have been your countdown because now they are working again. I've found that it is easier in the long run to just delete and start from scratch with each new date I need. The one time I just tried to change a date I messed it up and got a note from tech support that it was causing errors and they deleted it.
