20031205 Drink Around The World on December 5th at 6PM--INDEXED

I know that the Brits have a DATW scheduled on December 15th, but I'll be back in snowy Ohio by then. I checked the MouseFest calendar and it looks like DATW is a good fit for December 5th. The WISH group will be meeting at 5PM that day at the Big River Grille. OurLaughingPlace is having an IllumiNations dessert party that evening. All of the IllumiNations cruises have been booked by MouseFest organizers. And at 9PM, the RADP folks are heading over to the Adventurers Club. And of course there's a Karen's Jellyrolls DISmeet at 8PM that evening as well.

What better way to celebrate Walt's birthday than to drink our way around the World Showcase.

So what does everyone think? Should we try again this year, or will we be rained out again? If we're going to do this, I think that we should meet at the Big River Grille at 6PM (after the 5PM WISH meet) and head over to the Rose & Crown for the official start at 6:30PM.

Well, it wouldn't be a proper DATW if I didn't monkey wrench someone elses plans. Try as I may, and try as I might, it seems that DATW always stirs up some sort of trouble.

OK. What did I mess up this time? If you are involved James, I can only guess it's either pins or WWTBAM.

I remember the rain really put the kabosh on DATW last year - we saw all the yellow ponchos leaving EPCOT as we arrived. Hope the weather cooperates this year! DH and I will be glad to join in the fun!

Karen (and others) - The plan is to start promptly at 6:30PM at the Rose and Crown. We will be heading in the direction of Canada soon after, so you should be able to join (or leave) the group at any time. I know that you need to be at Jellyrolls at 8PM. I promise to point everyone in that direction once IllumiNations is done.

Ray - The beer in Norway was called "The Viking". And thankfully they have stopped serving them. The Viking did me in back in 2001. And it was raining so hard last year by the time we got to Norway that drinking was the last thing on my mind. We'll see what 2003 brings.
