200 posts!!!!

I have just noticed that I have reached 200 posts!!!!

I think it's about time the tag fairy was spreading her magic!!!

I still don’t get why post counts are something to feel elated about. Personally speaking, I think post counts should be removed from message boards as they only serve to encourage meaningless / worthless spam as people strive (sic) to reach their next post count “milestone”. I find it amazing that extra money is being spent on the infrastructure of the DIS boards to increase capacity / speed when removing post counts would do this in one go. Whether you agree with me or not, it’s plainly obvious that some people have an addiction to posting, simply so they can see their post count increasing.

The old adage of “quality not quantity” should be used.

Im sorry Im really going to try and post this while holding my patience here with this reply. This is a Community forum, where we encourage people to post about anything they want to, within reason. We are a friendly community and can celebrate just about anything we want to, without having to have our threads soured by people who dont agree with us having a bit of fun. This is what being a Community board is about.

So no I dont agree with you, about this, with the everyday busy life most of us lead, its nice to get on here and post about our post counts, birthdays, weddings, divorces, holidays, and just about anything else we like.

As a sponser of the boards, Im quite happy with My money going towards any upgrades for this board, that brings a bit of happiness to anybody.

Postcounts have always been an integral part of the boards, as has celebrating the acheivement of certain posting milestones. The majority of people enjoy both celebrating and sharing in other posters celebrations and long may the happy spirit continue.

Those people that don't enjoy this type of thread or don't wish to share in other peoples happiness can always choose not to read it as I don't believe it is compulsory to post on, or even read every thread. Maybe the time spent posting objections could be better spent stealing sweets from small children instead!

That's pretty much what I do too! I also Dis at quiet times at work (like now!)
Damion (my DBF) just rolls his eyes when I get my laptop out nearly every evening
