20% off merchandise coupon

I apologize if this has already been posted, but as I was at Disneyland over the weekend and got back last night, I haven't been checking the disboards.

Just a heads-up, on Sunday while we were getting food at Pacific Wharf and later at Tomorowland Terrace, both times a coupon for 20% off merchandise was printed following the receipt. The coupon is valid until January 4th, from store opening until 12:30 p.m. at the following places:

Disneyland: Emporium, Clothiers - China Closet, and Startraders

CA: Greetings from California and a hats and Ts store (Sorry! I can't remember what it's called)

Disney Store in Downtown Disney

As usual, there are some exclusions to the discount like original artwork, gift cards, DVDs, Disney Dollars, etc. As I spent my coupons, I don't have them to refer to, so please pardon my bad memory.

And the coupon is off your entire order, not just one item.

So keep an eye for this. I didn't, and it wasn't until Sunday night at the hotel when I was cleaning out my purse that I looked at the extra long receipt and actually read it.

Glad you posted this. We were there last week and got the same coupon, several times actually.

Once for our Minnie and Friends breakfast and the other from the bakery in DCA.

It's awesome, the only draw back is that it must be used prior to 12:30pm, for us that was challenging.

I got a few of those coupons as well while I was there last week (I think 3 or 4). They seemed to pop up like crazy since I think I only made 6 purchases while I was there. I'm holding on to them since I'm going back for New Years! I'll just have to remember to shop early.

Interesting I've heard of these showing up at WDW but not DLR. The difference is in WDW they are to be used same day, or early in the day(is how they have showed up in the past), while at DLR they encourage to not shop now, but to also come back and shop.

I got a ton of these discount receipts last weekend. They are available at DL.

They seem to be good for several weeks after the date you get them -- mine was a full month.

Yes, using them before 12:30 can be challenging, but the gift shops are less busy, which is nice. Remember that there are several registers all the way back in the Emporium that you can ring everything up in, not just the ones in the main room. We ran around riding and collecting FPs for a couple hours and started shopping at 10 a.m.

TIP: We left our purchases at the package check at the Newsstand (DL) and Engine Ears (DCA). They said they would keep something bought at World of Disney too.

The ONLY problem I had is that they WON'T HOLD FOOD ITEMS -- even packaged ones like gingerbread cookie mix or pre-packaged candy corn. I can see them not wanting to hold a Mickey bar or a churro, but packaged food? I ended up buying them later separately.

That's a good question but I would guess that it can't go back to the room. The problem is they can't transport and store the food in a manner that the satisfies the health department.

Oh shoot, I totally just forgot about that the PAP is getting 20% while these coupons are good. I think I shall double check on how many I have and pass them on as well.

I don't know about "still" I only got my AP last week, but it says PRM AP Holiday 20% on my receipts and I thought I saw something on the AP site about going through January something. Maybe I'm pulling that out of nowhere though, I'll ahve to double check.

OK, so I just looked again and it was in the Backstage newsletter. The PAP saves 20% "on select purchases at most Theme Park and Hotel merchandise locations" through January 10th, all other AP's save 10%.
