20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

What are Disney's plans for this area. Is there something there already?
Are they going to bring back that attraction?

Right now its a Winnie the Pooh playground area.

...and 20,000 Leagues is definitely NOT coming back. It closed in 1994, I believe.

i miss that ride too, but that wait line was a bugger, it took forever! The last time i went on i was in Disneyland in 1998. I wish my kids would have been able to go on it, but they were not around yet.

I loved this ride as well. While I am sure they won't re-open it, it could be really awesome with all of the advances in special effects, etc. that are available now!

They have some memorbiliia from it in MGM in A man's Dream ( movie/memoribilia about Walt Disney)! They have alot of neat stuff and facts there! I went in there so my two yr old could nap, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was an interesting attraction! I highly recommend it!

I did hear that Disneyland is getting theirs back. I have never been so I am not sure how true that is but it would be awesome. I belive that another one of the DIsney parks (can't remember which one) still has it so I cant figure out why they can't get it to work here

Disneyland didn't fill in the area and put a new ride into the same area.
There were rumors that there were other problems below ground that were not visible to guests at WDW (like leaking into the utilidors under the ground). I don't know how true those rumors are, but they if they were true, it would be a good reason to fill the area in and not try to renovate the attraction.
