2 year old and cribs in Disney Resorts?

My family will be having a reunion trip this November. My niece will be almost 2 years old. We are staying at POFQ. Do they have cribs we can request? Are they regular cribs or pack and plays? Does anyone have any suggestions if cribs are not available??

When we went to Pop with our 22 mo ds, were were given a pack and play in our room, upon our request. We had a king bed in the room and althoughh he never did this before, he slept in bed with us more than the pack n play. There was plenty of room for all 3 of us and we all slept great. Disney uses pack n plays. If you need a full crib, I have read on these boards that people have been happy with rentals from abbf.com. My oldest and middle children wouldn't ever sleep in the pack n plays so we just put them in bed with us. Thankfully, my little one LOVED the pack n play on our last trip. She was around 20 months. She called it her "new, big girl bed"??? Not sure why since it was clearly smaller than her crib at home, lol!

We are staying at POFQ in December and requested a crib for our DD2. I don't mind if it is a pack n play or a crib since she is used to both. But our reservation does state we have a crib reserved.

Does anyone know how these fit in the rooms. The rooms look great, but doesn't look like any extra room for a crib... I would prefer that she doesn't climb in bed with us since we will already be drawing straws to see who sleeps with DS6!!

There is plenty of space in the rooms at POFQ. We have used a full size crib from A Baby's Best Friend as mentioned above and did fine with space. It was very nice with a real mattress and very clean Disney bedding. Our DS slept through the night every night. . . something that until our trip had not happened.

We stayed at the WL with DS in December. He was 2 1/2 at the time. He was still sleeping in his crib at home at the time. He never tried to climb out of his crib, so we just kept him in there until he did (which was a few months later).

When we went in December, it was me, DH, my mom, and DS. DS actually slept on the floor. We brought his nap mat from daycare and folded the extra blanket on the floor for him to sleep on and gave him the exta pillow. He used his blanket from home to cover himself. After the first day, mousekeeping noticed what we did and actually "made" his bed and even included a comforter for him! He did fine down there. I was a little worried about him sleeping on the floor, but then I realized with all the blankets, that was probably softer than the pack n play!

THanks for all of this information. Grandma here taking my family for a grandgathering! Two of my grandkiddies just adore each other - Nicholas is 2 and Makayla is almost 2. Nicholas was adopted from Russia at 13 months and he loves other children. He and Makayla just laugh and smile at each other and squeal with excitement. They love being next to each other in their strollers, and get upset if they can't see each other. So, this double stroller rental is fantastic! Also, Grandpa and I are going to baby sit 3 grandkiddies and I was worried how we would push 3 strollers!!!! This is great! Thanks again!

If they are not available (although I see no reason they wouldn't be, if you request one in advance) your niece could always sleep with her parents. This is what our ds does at WDW. However, this is what he does EVERY night. We have a big ol' king bed which we bought in place of a crib before he was born.
I know a lot of kids sleep better with their parents when in an unfamiliar place, so tell your sister/SIL/brother/BIL not to be surprised if their dd has trouble getting to sleep in the pack'n'play or crib. Hopefully something can be worked out so everyone rests easy! Good luck!

we stayed at CBR and CSR and it was a pack and play both times. My dtr. was 1 and 2. We tucked it under the closet area/sink and I was able to close the curtain so she could fall asleep while the other two watched a little tv to unwind. It worked great. My oldest one also slept on the floor (he was 6) and that worked fine too. There was plenty of room.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have heard suggestions about using the bathroom area and pulling the curtain. Which I had thought about using when I first heard there would be a curtain for the bathroom area...

Both of my girls loved the pack in plays on vacation. I am not sure why, but they both loved sleeping in them when they were around 2 years old (and older) . I thought we were going to have a problem with my older one (close to 4 years old at the time) giving it up for the baby, but she didn't. We always pad it with extra blankets, that mattress is pretty thin.

One thing we have done sometimes is we have a blow up sleeping bag. We took that with us when my niece came along on our trip. Niece slept on the bed, DD on the floor with her sleeping bag and baby in the pack and play. (but really mostly with us, )

We stayed at POFQ last September and got a P&P from them. We put it behind the curtain that leads to the sink area. It was nice because we could close the curtain for our son while he slept. It helps him if he can't see us, he falls to sleep faster.
