OK another year of planning and its come down to this! Here it it in a nut shell. Left off most of the obvious. We don't really plan rides, because you can really ride and see what ever you want with minimal or no wait. It's just a summary of a lot of the must do items for what may be our last trip for a while.

Hopefull I don't bore you. Let me know what you think. (And don't say " well I think you stink at spelling... because I already know that)

Saturday- Arrive at WDW (hopefully by 6) Check in at the ASMo resort and head strait to MK. Spectromagic, Ride Asto-Orbiter (it will be closed the rest of our trip), Wishes, Hot Dogs at Casey's while the crowd files out. Back to the Hotel to find our room.

Sunday- AK, Lunch at RFC ($75 worth of MyPoints Certs. and 10%AP discount) should make for a nice large free meal. Stop by and pick up our free lanyards (today only) Catch the parade and move over to MGM for the evening. See Fantasmic (as this too will be closing for the rest of our trip)

Monday- EPCOT, Find our Leave a legacy photo from last year, The Land Junior Chef Program, Co-Pilot the Monorail to Epcot(don't forget the camcorder this year) Eat at Akershus (finally), Eat a beaver tail, See Illuminations.

Tuesday- MK, 9am rope drop. 9:30 Breakfast With Pooh, finally take my sons to Tom Sawyers Island, 75 years of Mickey statues, frontier land shooting arcade, Haircuts on Main St., Parade, Fireworks, Dinner?

Wednesday- MGM, See playhouse disney, Parade, Off to Contemporary For Dinner with the Mouse himself. Then my wife's favorite part-- Shopping spree at DTD (mainly World Of Disney, I can get from POTC to Dumbo blindfolded, but I need a Map for this store!)

Thursday- Which ever park strikes our fancy. (Most likly MK) then to FW for dinner at Trail's End Buffeteria, The Campfire program then watch Toy Story on the out door screen. And hopefully catch the EWP.

Friday- Again no real plans for a park probabaly EPCOT. Then off property to Shopping at the discount mall and then to the Pirates Adventure Dinner Show. Then back to bed for an early early departure on our 14 hour trek back home..

Some other things on the to do list. Pressed Pennies, Autograph books, and Eat at Italy.

Before you get started... My biggest complaint is our last 3 nights there I have no Illuminations or Wishes scheduled. Unless we see wishes from the Contemporary on Wed. or go shop before Chef Mickey's and have a late drive over to Epcot for Illuminations.

Looks like fun!

Notes for Tuesday: TS island opens at 10am I think. Do you know about the hidden paint brushes? Keep an eye out for them, you get a prize if you bring one back, like a pass to the front of the line for any ride. They go quick, so you might want to try and get a PS for before the park opens, if you can, so you can be at the boat dock at 10 (double check the time). Need a dinner idea? Liberty Tree Tavern is ourt favorite characture meal!

Fun dinner for Thurs, since youre sad about fireworks. Eat at the Hoop dee doo revue! Its fantastic! And if you time it right, you can catch the EWP after or before.

I assume for Sunday you mean you'll see Fantasmic and not Spectro, which is at MK.

Your plan already includes seeing Illuminations and Fantasmic once, and Wishes twice (Sat and Tue). I wouldn't worry about not seeing them a second and third times (I know some people love to see them every night but you have A LOT planned.)

My one suggestion would be to go see Cirque Du Soleil at DTD. Perhaps you can go Wednesday night since you'll be shopping at DTD anyway.

You have a very ambitious schedule with a lot planned. If you have kids I suspect it may be too much for them and you'll need to rest and go back to the room early on one or two days. But it looks like fun. Good luck.

I love to read how others personalize their itineraries...your idea of eating hot dogs at Casey's while the crowds leave is great! If we didn't already have a PS for Crystal Palace for supper I would love to give that a try! And the haircuts on Main Street, co-piloting the monorail, and the pressed pennies are the kind of things that make a trip your own and especially memorable, IMHO. If you have a few minutes before dinner at Trail's End your boys might enjoy the petting farm at FW. It sounds like a great trip...have a wonderful time! :D

Thank you all for your responses!

Yes, XStAnt, I meant Fantasmic, and have made that change. Thank You. The boys are 2 and 4 and have done very good the last 2 years. They usually take a midday break and sleep, either in the car on the way to the next stop, or occasionally at the hotel, or in a stroller while we take a break on a bench for a while. We let them sleep in each morning too. With the parks opening later and us not being in a hurry to get there they always get a good nights sleep. I think they might still be a little young for Cirque, we will save that for our next trip.(hopefully we are able to get back in 2 or 3 years)

Wilderness01 - I read this a short time ago on allearsnet.com "Passholder Lanyard - To help celebrate the magic that happens when you gather with family and friends at the most exciting place on earth, we are going to give you an exclusive Magical Gatherings™ 2004 Passholder lanyard. Just swing by the Island Mercantile at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park on January 24, 25, 31 or February 1, 2004 during regular park hours to get yours. There is a limit of one per Passholder"

Stacy, Thanks for the tip on TS Island. And the Liberty Tree Tavern got bumped last year and will most likely be on the top of our list this year. I may just add that to my itinerary to make it that much more likely that we eat there this year.

And lastly Mom2bandp, we will most likely do the petting zoo and pony rides before dinner. And we did the Casey's thing (thanks to a tip off of this board) last year and it was great! We met some nice people on the "bleachers" as we ate hot dogs and watch cartoons...And the masses of people filing past us.

Two things I forgot to mention: Ride Mission Space and see Mickey's Philharmagic!

Also we still haven't tried a Dole Whip. I know a lot of people talk about it, and it's a must do. But I've failed to pay attention. Where again do I buy one of these?

Thanks.

Dole Whips are sold at Aloha Isle in Adventureland in MK. It's across from the Treehouse.

thanks for the trip itinerari

I never thought of going to fantasmic on Sunday, I just thought we were going to have to miss it.

I checked the calendar and noticed that MGM has fantasmic listed at 6:30 and 8:00 that night.

do you think they are the same show?, just and extra time because it will be off for a week?

any thoughts

I'm sure it's the same show. I think during peak times they show it twice. So, like you said, they may have added it due to the shut down.

I think the Sunday Fantasmic worked out pretty good for our schedule. I had to bump up AK a couple of days[not my favorite park](all for some goofy free lanyards...but if Disney is actually giving something away free I'm going for it), so it made the best use of a whole day. Plus we can go back to MGM later in the week and can leave when we're done. (no fantasmic to keep us there until the end of the day)

don't want to sound stupid, but what is a lanyard. Also are they free to everyone

:bounce: BUMP:bounce:

Just because I'm finally getting excited!

A lanyard is a strap you wear around your neck with a clip on the end of it. A lot of companies have employees wear their badges at the end of them. The are perfect for displaying your pins. And carring around your ID, Tickets or anything else. According to the note I came accross they are free to AP holder on those days at AK.

Well we are back and WOW!!!

Last year when we returned I posted that the trip was better than the one the year before, well guess what... This one was even better than that!!!

Everything went great!!!

The boys were in the parade again! Great character interaction everywhere, great meals, co-piloted the monorail to Epcot... cool pics and video there. The weather was very nice(rained once or twice and got a little chilly a couple of days, but most days were GREAT)Did the Junior Chef program at Epcot. My sons dacing with Woody at Goofy country dance show) Did everything we wanted to do and more (except see the EWP save that for next trip I suppose) Had a dole whip (OK at best for me), the beaver tails were great. Tons of fun stuff! Finally(after 3 years of asking) got toy story building, non-smoking, second floor, courtyard view room. I got to be in the Hot Seat at Millionaire!!! Lost going for the 125,000 point question! So I got the hat, polo shirt, lanyard and 10 pins!

But the best part of the trip by far was on the second to last day my 4 year old walks over to me on the monorail on the way back to the transportation center, leans into me hugs me and says "Thank you for taking me to Disney World!" I was moved! He is four! I couldn't help but think how many kids don't say that at any age! I think when I see my parents next I'll thank them for taking me to WDW 18 years ago because I'm sure I didn't then!

Oh and the wife's shopping spree (she held back on buying most things througout the first 4 days knowing we were going to world of disney on the 5th (and you can get just about everything there and get 10% off and not have to lug it around the parks with you or do package delivery) I just about had a heart attack! We spend more that night then we did the entire rest of our trip(before and after that night)

That sounds like a great moment you had with your 4 yr old.

What a nice thing to say. Glad you had a great trip!:D

It sounds like your trip was SPECTACULAR! I'm so happy you had such a good time! Sure hope my boys are as appreciative as yours...though somehow I doubt it...LOL  Oh, and congratulations on the Millionaire prizes!
