The resort already has their Christmas tree up down by Pioneer Hall, all of the bus stops have garland as well as the lamp posts and the stores are also decorated too. Other than that I don`t know that they do any special events per say. At the moment their a few sites with Christmas lights up, but I have been here since Wed and the resort was not crowded at all. Maybe now the weekend is here and more people arrive their will be more. Right now the two biggest displays I`ve seen is in loop 800 and loop 1600 ( I think) in the original dog loop area. Even the Cinderalla castle MH folks aren`t decorated yet.
I brought my Disney stuff, but just one tub full this time, because I am here so early. I have my Mickey lamp with a Santa hat on it wrapped in lighted garland, two Disney blow ups, Mickey walk way lights and two sets of Mickey and Minnie characters displays here on loop 800. Not the biggest display here on the loop, but I tried.

Scooby2002, :welcome: to the DIS Camping Board. :disrocks:

I see this is your first post and so folks will want to know are you camping in a tent, pulling a trailer, or driving a motorhome?

The Fort has Christmas-themed movies at the campfire singalong (schedule should come out the end of this month). In the past there have been choirs/singers entertaining folks with Christmas carols as they waited to get in to their Hoop Dee Doo shows at Pioneer Hall. The Fort will be decorated (and some campers go WAY out to decorate as you know).

Tell us about your trip after you get home. Some of us are stuck here and would like to live vicariously through you. (me, ME :rotfl2:).

Welcome Scoob !
You are gonna have a BLAST. Be sure to save some time to enjoy all the Fort Christmas activities and decorations. They change nightly as people come and go in the different sites. :santa:

I know i posted over a week ago, however between being extremely sick and the holidays I have finally gotten to settle down just a little bit! Now the reality that I leave on Friday has set in and I have not even packed the first item for our trip, planned any meals to cook, or done any shopping! So needless to say now a whole new panic mode is about to set it. Between school, work, and packing im just hoping i remember everything. I dont think i shall get any sleep this week :rotfl2:

I know someone asked what we Stay in when we camp. We stay in a small enclosed trailer and it works great for just the two of us. We do not spend much time in the trailer at all we always out and about. I bought a few christmas decorations for our upcoming trip this weekend trying to make our site look like christmas.

Don't panic too much! I found I definitely overplanned on our meals/food anyway - we had way more than we needed. The crock pot turned out to be my best friend while we were at the Fort. I put in one of those plastic liners, dumped ingredients in during the morning before we left and we came home for dinner to a hot meal ready and waiting for us. I did casserole, lasagna, tacos and pulled pork all in the crock pot. Enjoy your trip!

i do love my crock-pot as well. The boyfriend however does love the grill :lmao: So we will be rotating between the two, but i think i have overplanned with the food as well. but we did just call last night and add a extra night on so now we will be checking in Saturday instead of Sunday. :dance3:
