Ok Disney Fans, I will be leaving Northen Wisconsin in 25 days for a week long adventure with my DH. I made my ADR's back in May. I choose both the California Grill and Flying Fish. I guess I want the feedback from the vets to see if both are good choices. Thanks in advance!

I can't speak for either of those, but Narcoosee's was easily worth the 2TS credits. Have a safe and magical trip!

Both of the restaurants are very good. We enjoyed the CG more and have returned several times. FF was also good but we were just much more impressed with CG.

Have a great trip.

I'm with the Narcoossee's vote...even though that wasn't what you asked.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Flying Fish. I have had some of the best meals here and spread apart over all our visits from the first to last one we did. I must admit, we've never done California Grill though. Last time we sat at the counter and watched the chefs as they worked. So neat.

Would def. go back-even If I had to pay cash $$ (No dining plan):cutie:

His section typically is on the north end of the restaurant, with lots of tables by the windows overlooking MK. He provides fantastic service and if you drink wine, you can trust his recommendations.

I am reading the title of your post and thinking real hard. As I have enjoyed several meals at the CG and Artist Point before the DDP and paid cash. But using 2 table credits for 2 restaurants in a week long trip is something I would not do. I feel that my 1 table service credit meal at Le Cellier is just as good when comparing it to CG. The view from CG is spectacular but I just can't see using 2 credits for any meals when you have all of the EPCOT restaurants and several very good resort restaurants that charge 1. I was considering doing Artist Point this time and using 2 table credits but then the new Italian place opened, I got Le Cellier in the beginnig and end of my trip, Coral Reef, Chef's De France, Kona Cafe and just couldn't find two that I wanted to give up for one dinner at Artist Point. Just my two cents. Good Luck.

Good point. However, I think it depends on how intent you are in getting to eat TS every day on the plan, or if you want to experience two signature dining restaurants in a week using DPP. We used DDP on a 5-night/6-day stay for CG & Jiko. We were fine with the decision, even though it meant we paid cash when we wanted a TS meal beyond the remaining TS credit we had left on DPP after CG & Jiko.

I think both of your choices are excellent. We do not do DDP as we use DDE but I would definitely use the 2 TS credits for the places you selected. I hope you enjoy.

We have used the DDE & DDP and paid cash out of pocket over the last 12 trips. On every trip but 1 (I was by myself for a quick trip) we have eaten at CA Grill and felt it was well worth it. My non-Disney friends who came down with me in Feb (we had the Dining Paln) felt CG was excellent. Penny

We used two credits at Flying Fish and paid cash at CG just a week ago. Both were wonderful. Our one table service restaurants were significantly worse - except for Spoodles, barely worth eating.

I'm having a hard time thinking of whether or not I would recommend using 2 TS credits for CG. When we ate there in August, we had the best sushi we have ever tasted! The menu was very appealing and the quality and preparation of the food were incredible. However, we found the atmosphere to be very loud and disorderly. Not only that, but we weren't all that impressed with the service. They took us very late after our ADR time and weren't apologetic in the least. In fact, we had a very hard time getting served at the bar while we waited. That being said, watching Wishes from the deck was amazing. So, I guess the food was worth 2 TS credits but I might choose somewhere else if I were you.

Only place I've used 2 TC sredits for is Narcosse's. Only reason is that you could get the $50.00+ surf and turf. It's about $40.00 a day for the dining plan, so from and economic standpoint the 2 TS would only make sense if your meal costs more than 2 meals at say LeCellier. Even at $50.00 an entree it's probably not as economical to do ayn 2 TS meals. Jusy my 2 cents.

We always do several 2TS on vacation and feel it is well worth it. Matter of fact, next year we will have the Deluxe DP and will sched. one signature dining experience each day. Tho we have not tried flying fish or CG yet, the 2TS we have tried (Narcosee, Yachtsman, etc.) were exceptional. With the exception of LeCellier....most of the 1TS cannot compare.

Well, we are trying both the CG and Flying Fish. I know the Dining Plan is changing in 08, but for 07 it seems "on paper" worth it.
