My plan is to go to TL around 2pm. I know there is talk of lounge chairs being taken but has anyone ever not been able to get a locker? I am going alone and don't want to leave my stuff unattended.

Also, my silly question. I am planning on riding the lazy river for about an hour. If I want to read, will my book get drenched (i.e. can I skip the waterfalls?)

Thanks
Sandy

It is kind of hard not to get wet when floating around Castaway Creek at TL. Alot of it depends on how crowded it is. If it isn't too crowded, you can maneuver your tube around to try and keep from getting wet, but if it is crowded, sometimes you are stuck right where you are! Some areas have mists spraying out at you, one spot has water coming down from overhead and when you enter the cave like tunnel, there is a lot of water coming down on you. That one is hard to keep dry. TL is one of my favorites and we don't miss it when we are there.
Enjoy !! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

even if it isn't crowded, i think it will be hard to maneuver with a book in one hand. i'd say skip the book on the lazy river, unless you are willing to take the chance it will get soaked.

I agree that there's no way to keep a book dry in the lazy river. You're at the will of the current when you're laying in the tube, so if you go under dripping water, there's nothing you can do about it. The only way to avoid it would be to stand, and that wouldn't be relaxing or a good way to read. Plus, kids will splash, so your book could get wet that way.

Thanks for the advise. Guess I'll have to really relax and do nothing, how un-me, since my plan is to go ride the lazy river for an hour or 2! :p

Thanks again
Sandy

Here is an idea - not sure if allowed but what if you went to the park with a waterproof walkman/cd walkman and an audio book and listened to a book - would that work?

Also, I think you should be able to get a locker - thinking that by 2pm, people have started to leave?

Thanks
