That's what they get for trying to bite the hands that feed them. Actors struggle for years and then finally get their big break but negotiate these seven year contracts. a smart negotiator would try to get incentives built into it in case the show is a hit like the CSI franchise is. ALthough now with a third show - CSI" New York I wonder how many different ways a person can die and it still be interesting TV...

I read that George(Nick) didn't show up for work and that's why he was fired.

Jorga (Sara)reported for work but failed to respond to some kind of letter CBS sent her asking her if she would be reporting in, so even though she did show up for work they fired her anyway.

Marg(Catherine) called in *sick* but was not fired.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo....not my Nick! And I thought they were really going to play up the Grissom/Sara romance this season (at least by last season's finale). MAJOR Bummer!

That's what happens when you take a stand. No matter what that stand is. This time they wanted more money, the producers didn't think that they deserved it. So I guess they will be looking for another job.

Loved Nick... couldn't stand Sara. I also didn't like the "love" thing they were trying to do with Grissom... ugh. I'd prefer him with Marg.

Man, this reminds me of Suzanne Somers. She did okay..

that will change the tone of the show, but look at all the cast changes on the "Law and Order" shows, and they are still going strong. Maybe this won't make that big of an impact. I hope not, first Friends are gone now they are changing CSI, what will my thursdays be like now!!!

Too bad - I really liked both characters.

Wonder if Jorda (Sara) will end up back on the West Wing. Before CSI she was playing a Secret Service agent.

Love Nick, like Sara, but was creeped out by the Grissom/Sara thing.

This edition of CSI (Las Vegas), IMO, is the best.

William Peterson was on his way out though...with Grissom, Sara, and Nick gone...I can only drool over Warrick! hehehe

I dont' see this edition lasting much longer...with New York coming up this fall and Miami doing well...I bet this trail blazer will fade out.

Wasnt there a subplot with BOTH those characters about one of them getting promoted to senior investigator or something like that?

I loved George, and I thought Jorga character was interesting, and a good play off of Marg.
