I need to book 2 rooms for the same dates. One with 2 people and one with 3.
Question: Guessing this will need to be done over the phone?
What do you call it again when you want the rooms to be close by? I know there are 2 terms but I forgot what they mean, adjacent and connected. Well, I understand connected. So, whats adjacent technically? I know its not guaranteed and its not a huge deal, just nice.
Also, I need to be in control of all the people in both rooms, so will they have to help me link it all, or will it all just be able to be done with me as I am the purchaser of all this (grown kids thing). Any info on this is appreciated.

Connecting has an interior door between the 2 rooms, no need to enter the hall to go between the rooms. Adjoining or adjacent means nearby; maybe next door but maybe across the hall or down the hall. You will most likely need to go out into the hall to go to the other room.

As long as the people on both reservations are on your MDE account, you should be able to manage everything. You can call, or just book online and then call to have the reservations linked and make your connecting/adjoining request.

You can book both rooms online. Book one room and pick the people who will be in it from your list, then reserve another room with the rest of your grou in it. So will be two separate reservations but as pp said you can have them linked. You can link them and request connecting rooms on the chat feature on the app, phone wait times can be very long now.

FWIW we are about 35% at getting rooms next to each other. A few times they were not even in the same section of the resort

Thanks !! That is great info. I will book them both to be sure we have them and then just either call or even better try and use that chat feature! Im okay if we have to meet up with them at the resort as long as were at the same resort!

Thanks again you guys answered my questions perfectly

UPDATE: Thanks again, when I reserved they all lined up perfectly on MDE and had all set to make our park reservations and plans look great. Looks like I'll only have to call for a adjacent room request! :yay:

You can use chat as well. Whether you call or chat, give them both confirmation numbers and ask them to place a “traveling with” notation on both reservations.
