2 rooms - 1 package/1 not..

Here's my question. DH, DD and I are going down this summer (I have the PIN for free QS dining) our plan is to stay at POP. My 17yr old niece jokingly said today "take me with you". Well I got thinking about it, we can include her on our package and all she would have to only pay for airfare/parktix (pretty good deal). Then I started thinking we should really get 2 rooms at POP one for the 2 girls (15&17) and one for DH and I.

Here's my question.... Do I have to put us 2 and 2 in the rooms to get the QS dining plan and pay rack rate for both rooms or can I put the 4 of us in one room for the tickets, free dining and then add a 2nd room at the room only discount? If I can how would I book the 2nd room? Can I put my name on 2 rooms?

I'm guessing it can't be done, but hoping it can, since I just want the extra room to give the girls and DH and I additional space and some privacy (and the extra bathroom)...I really don't want to pay rack rate for both rooms...

Any thoughts?

I'd book it under the % off code. Ask them to note you're traveling with the lead guest in the other room and request connecting. It won't save you a ton, but every dollar helps. I'd put you're name as lead name on one room and DH on the other.

There must be an adult booked in the room.
You can not be a guest in two rooms at the same time. So no one in your party can be on both rooms. Does their system catch that no matter what - I have no idea. People have posted before about similar quests to no avail.

Connecting rooms, adjoining rooms - they are requests and are not guaranteed. they are usually able to be met, but definitely are not always.

Don't forget that depending on when and what discount deal you are getting, % discounts don't really amount to much at value resorts. if your room rate is 120/night, the current offer only saves you about $20/night. Yeah I know that adds up quick. But it's somethng to think about.

Yeah, I think you're out of luck here.

Your pin code is only valid for the room where the person named on the pin is staying. For example, if it is your DH who received the pin, his room is the only one who gets free dining.

The second room can be booked room-only at the current public discount, but at least one of the adults in your party (you or your DH, whoever did not receive the pin in their name) would have to be booked in there with the dining plan at full price. This is because of the no-concurrent-bookings rule mentioned by the earlier poster.

Best case scenario with booking two rooms for you is to book the one room with the two girls and you/DH (one or the other), using the free dining pin and paying for tickets, and then a second room with the other adult booked in it, paying for their dining plan and tickets on top of the discounted room rate. This isn't really a savings thing, it would give you the extra space but you'd have to pay the $30 a night for dining for the second adult booked in the second room. (Basically, meaning you'd be paying for your niece's dining anyway, since it is she who is not included on your package right now.)

The only way for her to get free dining too is going to be for her to stay in the room with the three of y'all as the fourth guest. Then, the only expenses for her are flight and tickets.

Thanks for the responses. I figured I probably couldn't have my name on 2 reservations, but wasn't sure.

I guess we'll all stay in the same room, not a big deal, just thought it would be more comfortable for all with 2 rooms.

So now, we might just stay at CSR, since they have queen size beds....Or maybe I'll look into the Family Suites at All Stars...

Just an FYI, the family suites are more expensive than two value rooms. I'd opt for the mod or just two values if you really want the space. But with those ages, they'll probably care more about the parks and just crash at the end of the day. I would have! Have a great time no matter what!

With a PIN you can book up to 3 rooms so you all can get the offer.

We've booked before this way and didn't have a problem. Maybe the system just didn't catch it in booking. The first year of free dining we had one room at a value with free dining and one room with a AAA discount. I was the lead guest on both I believe. I know all of us were listed in the package room then 1 adult on the other room. When we checked in the CM said "is this you in both rooms?" I said yes, is that OK and she's said "it's fine, I just want to note a total occupancy for both rooms in case of an emergency." I guess in case of a fire or something they wanted to know how many people they needed to account for.

I'd call and ask - the worst they can say is no!
