My best friend and I have **finally** found a time when we're both able to get away for a vacation together. We're headed to WDW, but I have an ME question.

We're flying out of 2 different cities and will have 2 different schedules. I may be able to arrive at a time close to her landing time, but we will be departing on 2 different days. Does anyone have any recent experience with 2 people on the same reservation booking different ME times? I know that early on some people could and some had trouble, so I'm wondering what it's like now.

Thanks!

Should be no problem. When you make your reservations, tell the reservation agent that you are on different flights and give them your flight #s and dates. We are doing that for a trip in May and they actually have it right on the website in our reservation details.

However, if you want to make it "KISS" (keep it simple stupid), then if your arriving flights are on the same day and very close to each other give them the flight # of the later arriving flight and the flight # of one of the departing flights (doesn't matter which). The yellow tags will get your baggage to your resort and the tickets will get you on the bus no matter what flight you actually arrive on.

When you get to the resort, at some point during the trip until the day before you go home, drop by the front desk and give them your actual flight times home and they will give you correct boarding times for the bus back.

Also have everything from ME just sent to one address, then forward the appropriate yellow tags and ME bus ticket to your friend yourself. Having the ME materials split up tends to confuse things.

I am anxiously awaiting my DME packet to see what it says. I am flying down on a Monday, and dh and dd are arriving the following night. So, the Disney people had the worst time trying to figure this all out. Told me we couldn't arrive on two different days. So, I called DME and they said that was ridiculous, of course it could be done, it was done all the time. That if you were going to WDW, to stay in a WDW resort, you were entitled to DME from the airport. So, called Disney back, they had more problems, said the computer wouldn't allow for two different arrival days. Then, they called DME themselves, who they said 'walked them through the process'. From what I can see at this point on my reservations, it has us all arriving on the same day. Should be getting the packet next week, so we'll see.
I'm sending my dh off with our confimation papers to show if there are any problems when he gets to check in. He will not be a happy camper at 10:30 pm if they give him any grief. But, it's Disney, so I'm sure it will all work out.

When I rented points out to a colleague last Thxgiving, she was bringing her whole family down: 10 people, 5 households, 4 cities. So in the end we had five different DME itineraries. I made the first few, and then I put her in touch with DME, and she got all the family address and flight information to them.

And guess what? It all worked out great! :thumbsup2 Sure they sent her DME stuff to her at my address, and her sister's stuff to her at her parents' address, but at the airport and the resort everything worked perfectly. And in the end, bith she and her parents bought DVC points at SSR (where they all stayed).

Good luck with your's.
