in sept 08, it will be... me, my mom and my 2 kids 13&4 yrs. I have figured the prices to be the same for 1 rm at a mod and 2 rms at pop. which would you pick and why? I have only stayed onsite once at POFQ(really liked it:) I would really like to try another mod but feel like it would be smarter to spread out.
TIA

Two rooms at Pop would give you more room and two bathrooms. They just are not guaranteed to be adjoining.

I just got back from the POP and we had to adjoining rooms and found it to be a great way to stay! I initially used AAA for the rooms and had a rate of about 65 and then changes it to a code at 59.00 per night per room.

We loved having the 2 bathrooms as with 3 teenage daughters it seemed like one of them was always in use! I think the cost works out to be just about what one room at a Mod would be.

It was also nice to have the kids in the room next door which provided some much needed quiet time at night! :)

I would go with the two rooms also. The bedding isn't any bigger in a mod, and the rooms are only a tiny bit larger.

The mods have a few perks like a privacy curtan you can pull across the sink area, a ceiling fan, and a fridge. That is really the only advantage I see with the mods.

We opted for 2 rooms at POP for our stay this month. We have a 3 year old & a 4 year old. It was PERFECT for us -- I would not trade it for a "nicer" hotel room. We booked through Small World & they did guarantee us adjoining rooms, maybe because the kids are so young? I don't know, but we were guaranteed adjoining (obviously a concern for me with the kids). I can't speak to the moderates, but compared to many "nicer but not luxury" hotels I have stayed in, POP was fine. The lack of interior corridors didn't even bother me, and that is usually a HUGE dealbreaker for me when picking where to stay. I decided to suck it up for the space/money difference & I'm glad I did.

I was just thinking the same thing for this June. 2 rooms at POP or 1 At the Animal kingdom Lodge or a Moderate.
2 rooms, 2 bathrooms , 4 beds can't beat that.

what about a 2 room family suite at the All Star Music?
that includes some kitchenetter facilities as well i think...
plus 2 bathrooms..

-Private master bedroom and family room have 27” flat CRT TV and high speed internet access.
-Kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator (4.3 cu. ft) and coffee pot

*** They are 520 square feet.

*** The Family suites are located in the Jazz and Calypso buildings at All Star Music.(these are the closet buildings to the food court and the bus stop.

*** They cost less than a standard room at AKL or WL.

***1-6 adults may stay in a suite for the same set price.
(There is an additional fee of $10 per night for a 3rd or 4th additional adult in a standard value room.)

*** They have a QUEEN size bed (the other values and even the mods do not have a queen bed.

***The fridge is included (if you booked 2 connecting value rooms you would need to pay $10 extra for a night for a fridge if you wanted one.

*** They come with a microwave and coffeepot (If you booked 2 connecting value rooms you would not even be be able to rent a microwave and coffeepot.

***They have 2 TV's (if you book POR or a Deluxe room which sleeps 5 you will have 1 TV)

***They have 2 bathrooms (if you book POR or a Deluxe room which sleeps 5 you will have 1 Bathroom.)

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) in Sept. of 2006.

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Have fun at Disney wherever you choose to stay!:wizard:

I just booked our room for April. I ended up booking 2 rooms at POP instead of 1 at a mod. We did this last year too and it worked out better. We loved having 2 bathrooms and it gave the kids more room to spread out.
