2 reservations for same time? Waiting for discounts?

We really want to go back to the Swan in June, but there are no teacher discounts for our dates yet. I guess maybe they will offer some later, but maybe they won't. Wilderness Lodge would probably be our other choice. Should I make reservations for the same days at each resort and then cancel the one we don't take?

If you book WL and you will not keep the reservation unless you get a discount, you could in fact be contributing to your not getting that discount.

Disney looks at bookings to see if discounts are needed to fill resorts. They don't know you won't keep it without the discount. They only see it as a booked room.

I always book what I can afford and will keep with or without a discount. If a discount becomes available I upgrade.
