The first store we headed into (single file mind you), the first doorway. . . .A guy was coming out. Fine, okay.. .I will stay to the right, there is enough room for both of us, and its cool. I don't take up THAT much space.
However, his lady friend, decided to come out at the same time too. . . .And not single file behind him . . . but on my right!
They almost took me down like a couple of linebackers!
And then proceeded to plow through Jen too!
Now, I was too shocked and rattled (and too busy trying not to fall over) to say anything. . .but Jen managed to get a nice "You couldn't have waited ONE second." out, as the woman walked away.
With a couple of sore shoulders for both of us, I was able to find the elusive t-shirt for soon to be MIL and forever keep the soon to be "Best Daughter in Law Ever" title (I actually will be the only daughter in law.. so I guess that makes me the best and the worst at the same time!
)
Main Street at about 5:00 PM:
We were all starting to get hungry again at this point, so we decided to check back on Space Mountain one last time before rustling up some grub.
It was finally our time! It was up and running!!!
And on our way out we met a disboarder!! She noticed the Lime Green Mickey Head on Jen's purse and asked us about it. . . . It was Lisa*somethingorother*. ( Sorry. I dont remember the name. I had nothing to write it down on.)
We headed over to Pinocchios for dinner, per the request of Michelle (It was her one request besides the Safari). Dinner was good, but we all agreed that it was nothing to write home about. Michelle said that they used to have hot dogs there, and that's what she was hoping to eat. . . .they don't have them anymore. $36 of free Disney Food.
We were all pretty pooped by this point (I think it was nearly 7:30- 8pm or so) so we decided to stake out a place for Spectomagic and rest our tired little feet.
We planned on trying out Liberty Square, and got ourselves a couple of wall seats.
A nice family sat down next to us. Mom, Dad, Big Sister, Big Brother, and Little Sister. They were adorable to watch. Dad disappeared for a little bit, and came back with toys for the kiddies that he picked out all on his own. They were all different- and each kid loved the one they got! (Way to go Dad!
)
And then we waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
We watched the clouds roll in.
And at about 5 minutes before 9pm. . . .it happened.
The rain, rain, rain REALLY came down, down, down.
We had ponchos- so we just stayed right we were. But everyone else ran for their lives- as if they were going to melt like the wicked witch of the west!
And then the announcement: Spectomagic will be postponed due to rain and the safety of the performers.
5 minutes later- same announcement. This does not look good.
5 minutes later- same announcement.
Finally, at about 9:20 pm. They gave up. No Spectromagic tonight.
Disappointed, we headed over to Pirates for one last ride before making our way back toward the Castle for Wishes.
We were lucky enough to have a few more flash photographers on this ride as well, but they weren't quite as bad as our friends from this morning, just an occasional flash here and there, not constant. (Wow, it is pretty bad when you are happy with that!)
We watched Wishes from the bridge between the hub and Liberty Square. It wasnt the best view (I think I prefer somewhere on Main Street), but the fireworks were great anyhow. We took our time and didn't rush out with the masses, and enjoyed the park as it emptied.
Finally we joined the crowds waiting for the monorail, and made it back to our resort.
Jen and Michelle showered up and I braided their hair for our final park day tomorrow at Epcot.
Next time: Our beginning of the end- the morning of our last park day!
