2 Quick Military Salute Ticket Questions

My friend has said she will join me for a trip in October 2017. She would like to buy the military tickets and I am wondering, can they be linked ahead of time to MDE? I do not think that she will be going to a base to buy them and everything I've read says that she would get a voucher that would be activated at the gate. Second question, if she bought one for me, can I upgrade it to an AP?

Yes, you can link the certificates/vouchers to MDX ahead of time. I get guests all the time activating Salute tickets who've done it.

Yes, you can upgrade one to an AP, but it won't be price bridged.
