I will be in Orlando next summer with DD10 - just the two of us. We have always just done Disney but this year we are going to go to Universal/IOA. Should we plan 2 or 3 days? We have never been. We are early risers and will be there before the parks open. Not huge HP fans, but definitely want to check out everything there.

Thanks!

it is significantly more busy now then when i went on 12/9.

but from 9 a to 3 p we did everything we wanted in wwohp .

we rode the forbidden journey 4 times (which is the most popular ride).

rode the hippogrif ride once (it's all it's worth IMO unless you have young ones or people who are afraid of coasters)

and dueling dragons twice. again, almost no line because its a roller coaster.

we also saw olivanders. with the crowds these days. im parcel at 2 days for Universal and your being an early riser like me will pay you dividends. =)

crowds didnt get busy for us until mid day, then there was barely enough room to walk.

good luck.

Three. The summer is VERY BUSY. That way you can spend one day per park and use the third to revisit favorites and see things you may have missed.

Thank you for the feedback. Is Universal similar to Disney in that if I bought a 2 day ticket and found we needed another day we could add it at a small cost?

Absolutely! Just stop by guest services on your way out either day and they will upgrade it for you.

We went to both WDW and Universal this year with our 20 something kids (and their friend). We spent 2 days at Universal and 5 days at WDW. They all voted to spend more time at Universal next time. We'll probably get the Orlando pass that combines the Universal parks with SeaWorld and other parks. They've outgrown Disney and they really like the faster thrill rides at Universal. It was freezing cold when we were at Universal but it didn't seem to matter.

Thanks all! My DD loves thrill rides so I think she will want three days. But, when she saw the plan I was making she was very upset at only 2 days at Disney! Ha. Maybe I will go with 2 days and upgrade the ticket if we need more.

Thanks again!
