I have magic bands from our previous visit last year and it still has one no expiration ticket left on it. I just booked a quick weekend trip for this spring and they are sending me new magic bands with 2 base tickets loaded on them. Is there anything I need to do or not do to make sure I don't use the no expiration ticket on this trip? Is it possible to just leave the old magic bands at home and it will have the no expiration on them, take the new magic bands and the two base tickets will get used up on this trip?

I just didn't know how Disney tracked the bands and if they are separate.

The tickets aren't actually on the MB themselves. They are on your MDE account. I'd stop by a ticket window or guest services to have them deactivate the ticket you don't want to use. I'm an AP holder go often, I have every color MB and I bring all because they all work on the reservation.

Thanks for the information!

So guest services at my Disney Hotel will be able to sort it out? We arrive at our hotel late and then plan on going to a park the next day so I'd hate to spend time at a ticket booth at the park instead of enjoying it :)

No, not guest services at your hotel -- that is actually called the Concierge desk. You need to go to Guest Relations at one of the 4 theme parks. They are located to the side of the main entrance gate. There are 2 Guest Relations outlets at DTD, too. Your hotel is not the place to work on an advanced ticket issue such as you have. Hotel employees are not well-versed in ticket issues, and their computers aren't equipped for those situations.

Thank you for the clarification!

We are planning on going to MK the next day and it is currently scheduled to open at 8am. what time would the Guest Relations booth open so I can get there early enough to not miss rope drop. Thanks!

We are facing a similar situation. We DON'T want to use days remaining on a no expiration ticket this trip. Log into your MDE account. Click on "Magic Bands and Cards." Find the person and look for the no-expiration ticket (verify by checking the number on the ticket). Click on that ticket and on the next screen choose "Make inactive." When you are ready to use that no-expiration ticket, go back into MDE and do the same thing again but this time choose "Activate." Saves the hassle of wasting precious vacation time in the sometimes long Guest Relations lines.

Guest Relations outside MK (and at TTC) will be open at about 7:30AM.
(If it's a day when MK has a 7AM EMH, Guest Relations outside MK (and at TTC) will be open at about 6:30AM.)

I'm in a similar situation. I have non-expiry tickets and package tickets for my coming trip. I did deactivate all my non-expiry admission cards in the MB/Ticket section of MDE. However, these tickets still show under "my reservations". I wrote to Disney, and there is the reply:
"What you will want to do is stop by the front desk of your resort or at Guest Relations at any theme park. Let them know that you have 2 sets of tickets and that you would like to prioritize one set over the other. If they put the package tickets first (that I assume do not have the water park fun & more option) and the non-expiration ones second, then it will pull the theme park days from the package tickets and the water park admissions from the second set, leaving those theme park days alone."
