Yeah! So glad to hear you got those sunglasses! They will come in so handy for your trip -- which is SO CLOSE!!!! Lucky!

Try the pretzel - you will not be disappointed! But it has to be one from Germany - they taste the best. And we got those necklaces at a gift shop on Main St. in MK; and one from a shop in DHS. They were displayed on the counter by the register though; don't know if that's where they'll still be!

I had to laugh because when they pushed Lost back to 10pm, I didn't think I wanted to stay up that late so I would Tivo it. But watching in during the day just didn't have the same effect. It kills me staying up late to watch it though; I don't mind it ending at 11pm but I'm usually so worked up after it's over, it takes me awhile to fall asleep!

I know what you mean, my mind is RACING usually after it's over!!!

I felt we had a semi-productive day - the heat really slows me down! I was happy to see the parade again though -especially now that I hear there is a new one!

The Minnie/Mickey kisses made me cry!!! That has to be one of the sweetest things I've ever seen the characters do!!

And make sure you know where your cell phone is on Sunday afternoon!! St John bars are going to enjoy YOUR company, too!

I always tear up with Mickey and Minnie! And, yes I will have my cell phone on so I'd appreciate many picture messages of the beautiful beaches. I will be sitting on my couch trying to stay warm from the sub-zero temps. outside!

Thanks Alan. This is why I'm a disciple of Disney. They go out of there way to make sure Amanda is not excluded and, in many circumstances, give her extra-special attention!

Yeah, occassionally we'll use the tray to hold food - but really, it's mostly for alcohol!

You should write a TR - I will certainly be a reader! And keep your eyes open for those necklaces; they might still be around. I thought they were "christmas-y" too but they're just light-up mickey heads. Lauren's hoping they're still there in Feb. because she wants a new one!

Naaa - I wasn't too worried about Carolina; just thought it would be easier against Arizona. But now -- I am devastated!

I really feel Amanda gets bright-eyed around Mickey and Minnie. I think it's the whole black/white visual attentiveness thing that gets her! That and the fact that they usually get right in her face!

I wish I still was living in NJ - so I could commiserate with all the grieving fans; up here, I just got abuse. It was not a very pleasant two days post-loss for me. Of course, I bring it on myself because I do shoot my mouth off alot. What can I say - I'm a proud NY sports fan!

As for our xmas card - that pose was just one of four I used from the photopass pix. I'll be posting the rest soon!

I found the link to your TR from your trip last June while reading someone elses TR. It caught my eye because I was thinking of taking a trip the end of June when school gets out instead of the end of August which I already booked but ds15 does'nt want to go since it's cutting into his football practice. I enjoyed reading your last TR and I'm looking forward to reading this one. I think it's great that you are able to get away with your DD, we have a ds with autism and we love to bits but we spend a lot of time caring for him and we sometimes feel like ds15 is'nt getting enough of our attention, so we try to plan things to do with him alone but now he's at the age where he wants a friend to come to. Anyway I'm looking forward to your tr. Linda

So I left off with the girls and I pouting about missing the opening of the life-size gingerbread house at the GF by just days. Oh well - there's always next year! (notice my new ticker!)

Next we were on to our dinner at 1900 Park Faire. I think this is my favorite buffet meal in all of Disney. The food is very good and I've never been disappointed. I like it so much better now that Cinderella has been joined by her evil stepmother and step-sisters. They're always good for a laugh!

We checked in and were a little early, so we decided to go for a stroll around the pool. I also wanted to take some pictures with my cellphone to send to my DISbuddy Debbie. She loves the GF and I wanted to torture her! (HA!HA!)

Pretty soon we were buzzed and shown to our table. The characters came quickly...............

I've seen better Cinderella's:

This next part was pretty funny. Cinderella was in another room so Prince Charming asked one of the stepsisters to dance. Well, she just couldn't stop gushing about it - LOUDLY!

I did get a pic with the stepmother but Amanda's head was completely cut out of it - and the poor stepmother couldn't bend down to get closer becaue of her big dress! Anyway, I was happy to get the character meets out of the way first - so we could now focus on eating!

Lauren's plate - prime rib, mac & cheese, broccoli and rice:

My plate - prime rib w/horseradish sauce, some type of spinach and bean salad, roast chicken, and mashed potatoes:

I apologize for the half-eaten food pix; I know that grosses out some people. It was all very good though!

Dessert plate - mini cheesecake, carrot cake, key lime tart, & fruit tart:

Brownies, choc. mousse, and rice krispie bar:

And Lauren's favorite - soft serve choc. ice cream w/gummy bears & choc.chips:

(personally, I think it looks disgusting! )

Once we had finished dinner, I had hopes of heading back into MK to watch Wishes. But it had been a long day for Amanda - and a tough one. So I made the executive decision to call it a night and head back to the room at the BW. I felt some guilt about this because I hate to have Lauren miss out on things, but such is life. And it's these types of circumstances that help me justify my one-on-one trips with Lauren!

So we found ourself back at the room by 8:30pm - which goes against everything I believe in! Too early! Once I tucked Amanda into bed for the night, Lauren & I were feeling a little bored until we realized it was Thursday night, which means -- THE OFFICE was on at 9pm! Woot! That's some consolation. And I still had my free bottle of wine given to me by the Delta flight attendants - another Woot! AND...................what do we happen to hear outside at 9pm? Illuminations!

Now we didn't have the greatest view, but it was something. And we could hear the music! It was a pleasant surprise, considering our room faced the front of the Boardwalk - very unexpected.

So there's your answer, Tammie. Yes you can see Illuminations from the Boardwalk. You can't see it well , but you can see it. I will tell you that one year, I did spring for a BW view - Spaceship Earth was our view - just gorgeous. And from there, we could see the fireworks perfectly. Come to think of it, many people also stand on the bridge over the waterway to watch the fireworks, so you don't necessarily have to go in.

Coming up in next post.............another relaxing day by the pool; PM EMH at Epcot; and Amanda's nurse arrives to offer some much-needed back up support!

Love the pics of 1900 Park Faire-we ate there the week of Thanksgiving and we had the same Cinderella. Your Prince was definately cuter! Did you try the strawberry soup-it was very yummy!

Sigh. You wonderful review of 1900 Park Fare has me wanting to go there again. I promised myself no more ADR changing for our May trip and I think I might have to break that rule. The food looks so yummy!

Yea! You're back! Great pics - weren't you at 1900PF just a couple of days before us? I had so much fun there..... But Jeff was nervous - he was expecting one of the steps to ask him to dance or something! Now THAT I would have paid extra for!!!
