I've convinced myself that the Giants weren't really trying in that last game because it didn't mean anything. I mean afterall, they took Eli out at halftime! There just saving it all up for next weekend!

I agree! The starting line up came out after the first half so thats why they lost. Now they'll all be rested and ready for next weekend!

Wait a minute - Lost will be on at 8pm est.? Usually it's on at 10pm. I'm wondering if they will be repeating the season finale from 8-10 and then the season premier will start at 10 - which means you should have no problem catching it! And, once the new Lost thread starts, I'll be sure to post the link here!

Wow - Lost on at 7 by you? I don't know if I could handle that! That show is so intense - I need to be on my couch, in the dark, with a glass of wine to watch. I hope you get to see it when you're there!

Thanks for the compliments about my hair. One problem though, and my hairdresser warned me - because I'm not highlighting, my greys are showing up alot sooner. I think I need to find that Clairol root toucher-upper thingy!

As far as your Florida weather - the way I look at it - ANYTHING will be better than the weather at home, right? We're going in Feb. and here in NE, it's usually close to 0 degrees and snowing; so anything above 50 degrees in WDW, and I'm wearing flipflops!

Ok, so where did I leave off - about a thousand years ago........?

Oh yeah, the girls and I left Epcot and went back to the BW to get ready for our night at DHS. We had the Fantasmic dinner pkg. booked at Mama Melrose's for 4:40 -- or so I thought!

We relaxed for a little while in the room then got dressed to go out. It was pretty warm out during the day but I figured nighttime would bring cooler temps - boy, was I wrong!

The girls and I started out on our walk over to DHS. Staying at the BW and being so close to DHS, I REFUSE to wait for the boat - which just ticks Lauren off! Sorry, unless it's raining - we're walking!

I usually print off cards for each day of our trip, with the ADR conf.# on them and I just stick it in my bag. I knew our ADR was for a ridiculously early time but for some reason I really thought it was for 4:40. Well, on the way over, I decided to pull out my card and to my shock and surprise, the ADR was for 3:40! It was already 4:20! So I had two choices: 1 - I could totally play dumb when I got to the restaurant and blame DisneyDining for the screw-up; or 2 - acknowledge my mistake and plead for mercy!

Well, considering that I had my freakout in front of my children and they knew exactly what was going on, I didn't feel like I would be setting a good example by now trying to blame someone else for my mistake. Man - I hate having to set an example for my kids! But Lauren reminded me that I shouldn't lie, so I decided to be honest. We got to Mama Melrose's at 4:35 and I explained my mistake. And, you know what? They had absolutely no problem with it! The CM told me to wait about 5 minutes and she would be able to get our table. WooHoo! (although, looking back, I must admit - booking this pkg. was such a waste for us! I had to pay for Lauren as an adult and all she ate was a teeny bit of appetizer and a big bowl of plain spaghetti!)

We were soon seated and put our order in. We got the Artisan Bread and spreads and the Fried Calamari.....delicious!

Of course, our drinks - Fairies Punch(woohoo - another Tink clip!) and the special wine selection: Imagine Chardonnay. I wish I could remember who this was from but receipt doesn't say; it was really good though!

For dinner - Lauren's big bowl of plain pasta, w/sauce on the side:

And, good lord, she finished it all! My girl likes her plain pasta! BTW - don't ya love her light-up Mickey necklace? Was a big hit!

My dinner - Penne Alla Vodka. Very good, but I didn't finish it!

For dessert, Lauren had the chocolate gelato:

I had the Hazlenut Cheesecake - delicious!

Um, oh yeah, and the Mudslide Martini:

Dinner was very good but I don't think I would do the Fantasmic pkg. again. With Lauren being 12, I had to pay for her as an adult and basically pd. $32.99 for her to eat plain spaghetti and choc. ice cream. And it 's not like the reserved seating did us any good. Having Amanda in her wheelchair means we're sitting in a special spot anyway - the reserved Fantasmic pkg. seating put us in the same place anyway! My mistake - DUH! Next time, I'll know better!

So, on our way over to Fantasmic, of course I have to stop for a pic. opp!

I took just a few shots of Fantasmic, since we were so far in the back:

We were out of Fantasmic by 7:40 and headed back for the walk back to the BW. That's right - walk! We were not waiting for no stinking boat!

Now the beauty of staying at the BW is that it affords the opportunity to do so many things. We decided that, since it was still so early, we would now head over to Epcot to watch Illuminations! But, first - I had to change my shirt! It was soooo warm out!

Once we got to Epcot, I couldn't believe how empty it was! We pulled up right to the fence in front of Italy - no crowds at all! (yeah, Amanda is holding a glass of white wine from France for me!)

Amanda - wide awake for her favorite fireworks show!

Ha!Ha! She still has Snow White's lipstick mark on her cheek!

And, yes, I got myself a glass of Prosecco to enjoy while watching Illuminations:

Hi Cammie! Great update and pictures. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Mama Melrose as we are planning to have lunch there on our upcoming trip. I don't expect it to be the best meal ever, but we just need a solid sit-down lunch on our DHS day. That calamari looks really good!

BTW, LOVE Lauren's light-up necklace. My DD would have a fit!

hey, cammie! great pictures. i love lauren's mickey necklace. ray and i got some lighted necklaces at DHS this past trip but we didn't see the mickey ones! ours just looked like regular christmas lights.

i wonder if you guys saw illuminations where we did this past trip? we ended up watching it from a spot next to the fence between germany and italy, very close to the toy train area in germany. there was a wheelchair section roped off right next to us so i'm thinking that may be the same spot!

Hi Cammie-glad you're back! I love Lauren's necklace-I got the same one when I was there Thanksgiving week.

Lauren's not to happy with Disney about that necklace anymore. It died out over the holidays and we tried putting in the back-up batteries that came with it, and it still won't work. She wants to bring it with us in Feb. and get a new one! She wants her money's worth!

I've always enjoyed the food at Mama Melrose's; never understood the bad rap it gets sometimes. Plus I love the atmosphere - it's one of the few restaurants where I don't feel like we're sitting on top of the people next to us.

Ooh - Alan, their flatbread pizza is really good too! I wanted to order it for dinner but with pre-paying for the Fantasmic pkg. I wanted to get my money's worth and order something more expensive.

Yep, that's the spot. I've never watched from that section before and thought it was a great location - for viewing and for quick access to snacks and beverages! We had Germany for Lauren's pretzels to the left; and Italy for mom's wine to the right!

Hey there!!! Mama Melroses looks pretty good! I have never eaten there, I feel soooo left out! Cool illuminations pics- I just saw on another thread (the Disney Moms one) they have special glasses to wear that turn all the fireworks into little Mickey Heads! I think Lauren should replace her necklace with a pair of those!

It's so nice Amanda could help you out with your drinking again in WS!

yeah, it was a great location! we were able to see the show really well and we even saw some of holiday wishes from MK from there! anna got a pretzel from germany and that made me want one. ray had walked back to japan to look at more of the anime toys while i saved our spot, so i texted him and asked him to get me a pretzel on the way back and when he showed up he had gotten one from america. when i made a fuss about it he said they were the same and i was like, "NO, THEY'RE NOT!!!!"

Amazing pictures, great TR, and your girls are beautiful.
My last trip we went to Mama Melrose and thought the food was really good. We had the calamari for an appetizer it was really good, but I wanted to order what you did. How was it, I will get it next time. Looking forward. to more pictures. Oh, I loved the snow pictures. I miss the snow I am from N Y and moved to FL 2 1/2 years ago. No snow here.
