I really hope the decorations at the parks and hotels go up while we are there, it would be SO magical to wake up and see everything all decked out!

Where are you finding the details on the Christmas scheduling?

I'm thinking some parks and resorts will definitely be decorated. In past years, EVERYTHING was decorated my mid-Nov.; this year, they seem to be pushing the festivities back a little. And, btw, that site is still saying that Osborne lights won't be starting until the 28th! (if you go to that site, be aware that alot of the info there is still from 2007; they are slowly getting the 2008 info. out. Don't know if it's much of a help; but it let's you know what they offer.)

I'm kind of thinking that! I'm sure it will be decorated some time that week - just not sure when. I'm thinking when they pick up place to decorate, Disney goes in and completely gets it done in one night. One year, we were staying at the Beach Club - it was Veteran's Day week. We went to bed one night - no Christmas decorations; woke up this next morning, the whole resort was decorated!

I'm obsessing way too much over this though. It's going to be what it's going to be. But I guarantee when we get down there, I'm going to be running around like a crazy person trying to hunt down the decorations!

They definitely start decorating the month of November and I'm going to assume that they start with the deluxe resorts first. And since we know for certain that MVMCP starts on 11/10, I'm thinking that they would want the MK resorts all decked out in it's holilday finest by then also - being that they are the closest to the holiday festivities going on at MK.

Again, I have no evidence to back this up. It's just me convincing myself that this is the way it will be because it's the way I want it to be!

Busy, busy, busy........

We're focusing on Halloween right now - Lauren and her two friends are going as the Jonas Brothers (Lauren will be Nick, of course! ); and Amanda will be Hannah Montana! Shopping for these costumes has been easy! Oh, and they want me to be a crazed JoBros. fan - yeah, think I can manage that! Lauren wants to write on my face and have me carry a "I Love Nick" sign. Oh the things I do for my children....... Anyway, I'll be sure to post pix!

In the meantime, I've been putting things together for our trip. I've pre-ordered the photopass cd and also got a deal on the photobook - $49.95 (reg.$69.95) I've never ordered a photobook before but Kara posted some pix of hers and it looked great, so I figured with it being on sale, now was as good as time as any to try!

The medical company in Florida has been contacted and told what Amanda will need down there. Hopefully they'll get it right and everything will be in good working condition. This is the biggest source of stress for me; inevitably something gets screwed up and then, because it's a weekend when we arrive, I have to deal with whoever is on call to try and fix it. Such a pain! That's why I try to ship or carry-on as much of our own supplies as possible. I'll be shipping my own box of supplies down on Monday!

I've also started to put together each of our accessories bag. Here's Amanda's - with Minnie hair scrunchies and various Disney "bling": (she has some really cute Mickey ear birthstone earrings)

I'm still looking to make shirts for the girls and I to wear to MVMCP - not sure if I want short-sleeve or long-sleeve. I've given up on making shirts for my sister's family - she's being such a fart about it! They've never been to the Christmas party so she has no idea how people dress up and she just won't take my word for it. Oh well - at least the girls and I will be dressed festively.

I'm waiting until next week to make the decision regarding the short-sleeve vs. long-sleeve. It could be warm - even at night; and both Amanda and I tend to over heat, so I don't want to do long-sleeve if I don't really have to!

Cammie - did you get that email for passholders? When you go to the WDW website from there it lists the Osborne lights as beginning 11/28. Not sure if this is the "official" word or not..... Also looks like the festivities at Epcot won't begin until then. I really wanted to see Epcot all decked out for Christmas!!!!

There's a ton of conflicting info. floating around. Officially, Osborne Lights aren't starting until 11/28, but there were hopes that they would have some previews the weeks before. As for Epcot, their holiday festivities have ALWAYS started the Friday after Thanksgiving. You may see some decorations out, but no Epcot tree lighting, Candlelight Processional, or Santas from around the world until the 28th.

I'm leaning towards short sleeve too! As for shirt designs - I do have some ideas. My good friend Tammie helped personalize some for me from rumblytumbly. I also found some holiday designs on her photobucket acct. I may use. Of course, I've put this off until the last minute and will probably not have enough time to make as many as I want! I'll try to post pix of what I'm thinking of using.

Except of COURSE I can't leave without saying goodbye...see ya real soon!!! Packing for a 7 day cruise with 2 additional nights at WDW and trying to be hyper organized and put all the stuuf for the WDW nights in it's own separate suitcase PLUS a carryon with costumes etc just in case- VERY, VERY hard!!! I've been packing for days and I'm still not done, for the cruise we have 3 tuxedos and an evening gown PLUS 3 suits and a cocktail dress PLUS pants for all the other dinners/clothes for me, too, PLUS Pirate night attire PLUS Parrot Cay attire, and on and on and on...

And yet here I sit, talking to you!!!

Anyway....hard to get ready, but it will be sooo amazing, especially leaving NJ after Tuesday, Oct 28th, which looked like this:

For those NOT from the Garden State, I can't recall EVER seeing snow before Halloween- it just is NOT done!!!

DS14 is not happy we are leaving- not that he wants to come with us, but he'd rather we all just stay home together. Sorry, buddy, but we've waited a long time for this, and unfortunately it will be over before we all know it, so relax....

Aahhhhh...... I AM SOOOOO JEALOUS!! First, you get to go see The Who, one of the greatest bands of all time, and now getting ready for a 7-day cruise followed by WDW. Wow!! Good for you! I think I need to be hanging out with more people like you!
