I do the same thing with dining at disney...the only meal we have been underwhelmed at was our lunch at Rose & Crown....it just wasn't very good and we all just felt "off" that entire day (before and after).

Oh, you must give Rose & Crown a second chance! I love the cheese appetizer, the beer, the fish & chips, the beer, the desserts, the staff is super-friendly; and did I mention the beer? Nothing like sitting at on the patio and enjoying a Black & Tan while watching Illuminations!

Count me in. I enjoyed your Trip Report and can't wait to share in the fun of this Pre-TR

My daughter Amanda was born with an undiagnosed, rare metabollic disorder. Besides needing a wheelchair, she is significantly developmentally-delayed, and has a few other medical complications, one of them being respiratory issues. Because of this, she has had a tracheotomy. She had one as a baby; was removed when she was 3; then she became very ill in 2006 and needed it again. This time it wasn't such a big deal for our family though - heck, if I was able to care for a 3-month old who breathed through a hole in her neck; caring for her now at this older age would be much less daunting! The trach has made a world of difference for her - she's so much more comfortable - so it's all good!

No, I would not consider Mama Melrose's to have the best italien food; it's ok. But it's slim pickings if you want the Fantasmic dinner pkg. Hate Hollywood and Vine; don't mind the Brown Derby but it's kind of pricey. I like to save my expensive meals for the steakhouses!

I love your plans so far (except I am betting the second day you meant to type MK is open until 2 AM not PM).

I would try something other than Mama Melrose because, like you said, there is always handicap seating in Fantasmic.

When Cassidy turned 13 (and Abi does this next year ) I gave her 13 presents with 13 little things in them. Other than the Women of Faith ticket. I wonder if you could do something like that with fun Disney things?? We could have a ton of fun figuring that out. Some of Cassidy's was a decorate your own pencil case...with 13 pencils in it, a Caboodle (remember those??) with 13 cotton balls in it. Well, you get the hint.

You definitely have to go over the top in celebrations!! That is a mother's job...to embarrass the bejeebers out of their kids.

I really enjoyed reading your first TR and I am very excited that you have started a PTR!! This trip sounds wonderful so far, as does the one you are planning with you and your youngest again.

I can't wait to hear more about your planning- and by the way, we LOVE the Boardwalk also! I am sort of partial to the monorail resorts and the MK side of WDW, but when we stayed at the Boardwalk a few years ago, we totally fell in love. I could see us buying DVC there in the not toooo far future!

Yes, you're correct. Man, that would really be a rip-off if MK closed at 2pm, wouldn't it?

Thanks Dawn! We're not eating at any new restaurants this trip; just some that we haven't been to in awhile - like Rose & Crown. And I'm glad we got LTT before MVMCP, especially now that they are doing away with the character meal there soon.

Thanks for following me over, Ashley! Seriously, I don't think people realize what they're missing until they visit the BW. Once we did, we were hooked! And while we've stayed at some other very nice resorts on the property, we don't think any of them measure up to our BW!

Have any of you guys flown JetBlue before? I'm anxiously waiting for them to release their fares for Feb. and thought they would do it six months in advance. As of this morning - nothing! I don't feel like my Feb. trip is real until I book my airfare. I know, I'm weird that way; but I figure once I buy those non-refundable tix, there's no turning back!
