We're going late May and there are two showings of Fantasmic. Called today for FDP at Brown Derby, and they are sold out for the date I want. I know that I've read they usually open up more seatings closer to the date. Are all the packages for the first showing? How crowded is the second showing if we decide to try to go without the package? :confused3

When we scheduled our package on a night with 2 shows, they told us over the phone it would be for the first. I'm assuming this is true all the time, but I'm not sure.

If you look at the FAQ on the FDP, I think the conventional wisdom is that there are no FDP seats reserved for the later showing.

I was told by the dining CM who took my PS yesterday that if another showing of Fantasmic were added for the evening we're going, we could use the pass at either show. Hopefully this is correct, although I know we often get conflicting info from different CM's.

When there are 2 shows, what are the times usually?

From our experience you dont need the package when doing the second show as it is considerably less crowded than the first.
We went to the second show during Christmas week 2003. We walked in 20 minutes before showtime and got 4th row seats, center/left. Throughout the show the entire section on both sides remained empty.
I cant say that is always the case, but it was for us. Good luck!

Thanks CamColt. That was what I wanted to hear. I went ahead and booked a regular PS at 50s, hoping that we would be able to walk into the second show, which is at 10:30 that night. But that is also a EMH night, too, and a Star Wars Weekend. How many variables can we add? Anyway, I'm going to try to book FDP at Brown Derby for later in the week, just in case we don't get into the late show.
