2 different 40% off codes???

I do not know for sure, but I would say the PIN codes are selected at random. I have heard of other people receiving several PIN codes, whereas I have never received one. I have ordered several videos and get every email possible from Disney. So I am convinced it is at random.

For those looking for an answer about the 40% off codes...

If my understanding is correct -

There is a difference between general discount codes and discounts with a personal pin number.

A general discount code can be shared, here and elsewhere, and used by those who fall into a certain category of people... AP holders, FL resident, General Public, who book before the offer expires and who are willing to travel during the time the discount is offered.

The pin numbers received by some, can only be used by the person listed on the postcard or email. Sharing such number on this board is not allowed ... and ... or ... because ... you will not be given the discount using a pin received in someone's name. The pin number and discount is attached to the person's name, in Disney's reservation system.

Currently, I don't believe there is a General Public discount code available but some expect one to be released soon.

Can these codes be used at values, or only moderates?

I can't set up a new profile in a new name I am the only adult in the house, or can I use my son's name he is only 12? If i got a code, would they let me book if a code came in his name?

Stephanie

Here's how I got the code - I set up a new profile on disney.com, requested the dvd planning video said I hadn't been there in 2 years and was planning a trip in 2008 and 1 week later the 40% code shows up in my email

Just curious, when you set up the new profile, did u use a new email address and same name?

I would like to set up a new profile under my DS12 with his name and my email address, do you think this would work?

I have already requested a planning DVD on Jan 3, but it says only one per household, should I set this up anyways under my dear son and send away for another one?

Thanks

Stephanie

There is no such thing as a 40% off the "entire package"

There IS such a thing as a 40% off the room portion of a package that includes tickets and if you choose dining.

But you are paying FULL RATE for those tickets and dining options. No discounts on those.

When you call to book, ask the CM about using your PIN Code as part of package. If they say it can't be done, ask for a supervisor. For this offer, it CAN be done.

For basic info on PINS & Discounts.. see this post here..

These codes are NOT transferable. They are PIN codes useable only by the person to whom they were mailed or emailed.

Per the site you must be at least 18 years of age to set up a profile and you're required to enter your birthdate. There's a disclaimer that you check off that you're certifying that you're an adult. For a discount to apply it also must be for an adult. AP holders for instance, must have one ADULT Ap holder in the room for the AP discount and Fla residents must have one ADULT resident on the ressie to get that discount.---Kathy

I used the same name different email. I booked 2 rooms and here's the interesting thing - 1 confirmation was sent to my old email/profile and the other confirmation to my new email/profile. The CM also told me I had two different codes associated with my name but the 40% 15 digit code was the better deal.

I was also thinking that you could always register with a different email address. I don't know if that's what actually does generate a code but it doesn't hurt to try. I know I've called WDW before to try and modify a reservation. Each time I'm told I have multiple "households" even though there truly is only one. I've only registered under one email address so I'm not sure how my family cloned itself, lol.---Kathy
