2 days! Last minute questions...

DisneyVillain, these are so funny! And the entitlement mentality gone wild. You know, the "I'll do it because it makes ME happy" type of thinking.

Thanks for the laughs. :teeth:

Bes ure she wears a pair if those indecently tailored "butt writing" shorts that have "Sweet Stuff" or "Get Some" written across her hindquarters. Those are real tasteful. Any parent would be proud.

Make sure that your daughter's clothes are at least 2 sizes too small, no matter how large she is. The more fat rolls actually showing to the public, the better.

Since everyone here has such wonderful suggestions for the perfect WDW family vacation I wanted to see what you thought of my plans. We are driving from Texas and thought maybe we should stop in Shreveport and try to double our vacation money at one of the casinos there. My question is--do you think our 2 dd's-3 and 10-will be ok in the car? It will be dark so they will probably be asleep--we can leave them the cell phone in case they wake up and get scared. Let me know of any suggestions y'all might have. Thanks:p

Eh, just leave them a note. They will find it eventually. Just tell them that if you win, they get to see Mickey. If not, then hey mom and dad had a good time and will send them a postcard when you get there.

Are you calling my DD FAT?! You don't even know her!

DisneyVillain, do you really only have a day and a half to go, or did you scam someone's reservations with that identity theft stuff. Make sure you pack the correct IDs.

No, I am not calling her fat, but in order for her to be "in" with the other fashions that I saw in the park, even the skinny girls had their clothes on too tight to create the rolls or the excess skin that just does not fit in those itty-bitty shorts. Just wait. When you get to the parks, you will definitely see what I am talking about, especially with those short shorts with the messaging on the back

Actually, there is a dead giveaway right at the top. Anytime you see the phrase "A Modest Proposal", it indicates that the writing is satire. (A reference to a 1729 essay with that title, by Jonathan Swift of Gulliver's Travels fame.)

DisneyVillian - never heard of that essay: that's why it went totally "over my head" - most of us Brits have to suffer State education and we can bearly reed and rite!!!!

Well, if I actually had a daughter I would still be insulted! :teeth:

Jonathan Swift was a strong political advocate for his native Ireland. As an intentional insult to British politicians whom he thought weren't doing enough to alleviate the problems of hunger and overpopulation of the poor in Ireland, he wrote "A Modest Proposal". In this satirical essay, he proposed to eliminate both hunger and overpopulation at the same time, by eating the poor children! This was extremely shocking, then as now, and it certainly made people notice his point. "A Modest Proposal" is Swift's second most famous work, after Gulliver's Travels.

So now you know: If someone calls their writing "A Modest Proposal", then it is intended to be absurd, but presented as serious. (And usually making a point, although I personally try to avoid that particular vice. :teeth: )

Here is a link to a copy of "A Modest Proposal":

We're really, actually, leaving tomorrow!

The kids left yesterday. They have to hitchhike, 'cuz the Z4 only has room for Mom & Dad, and there's no way I'm driving the minivan all the way to FL. With the way DD dresses, I'm sure they won't have trouble getting rides. :teeth:

(You wouldn't expect me to be serious for an entire post, would you? :p )

This is by far the funniest thread I've ever stumbled upon. Hope you and whichever of your family members are real have a great time. If you need to borrow bail money let me know.

Going, Oh No, I hope I don't have to deal with this family ...I am so glad you were joking... I know since you are aware of these things, you won't really do them right? Have good clean fun and be considerate!!!!!

wow what a post! I'm going solo but my boyfriend is gonna meet me there. Do you think I could sneak him into the room with me w/o having to pay extra.

No problem! They hardly ever notice until you have more than 12 in a room.

Have fun. Do not forget to bring your dog and other pets and keep these members of your family in the room. The kennels are so inconvienent and it would not be fair to exclude Fido and the rest of the pets from the fun of the trip.

I hope that you are going to bring your two way radios. It is fun to listen in on other peopl's plans and to give out wrong inforomation.

Also, if anyone gets onto the Hot Seat at WWTBAM-PI and you want to avoid the the thirty day rule, just give the people a false name when you go to the prize room. That way you can get onto the hot seat as many times as you have false IDs or names.

Thanks for the laughs. This was a very funny post.
