We are flying to Hawaii on July 5 and are thinking of stopping in LA for 2 days and 3 nights just to do Disneyland. DW and I did it 20 years ago and we've done Disneyworld about 20 times since with the kids (DS 17 & DD14). My question is: is it worth it? It will add about $1200 to the flights and the expense of the admissions and hotels. My thinking is, the kids wont vacation with us much more so lets do it now while they will. On the other hand we are taking them to Hawaii, and all those trips to Florida. We're Disney nuts so we'll probably do it, but can we do it all in 2 days?
Thanks

Tony

I can't really comment on whether or not the money is worth it because you need to decide that for yourself, however, 2 days may be tough to get everything done. Based on your dates, you would be coming in July 5th, so you will be going to the parks at a busy time of year. If you are happy to just hit the highlights, then 2 days should be plenty, just get to the parks early and go after those big rides first (same strategt as WDW). Because your kids are older, you could skip a lot of the kiddie rides (toon town, fantasyland rides etc.) and still hit the big rides with fastpass and getting in early. If you look at it this way, 2 days should be plenty of time. Good luck.

I spent 5 there a few years ago and wish i had spent a lot more. This winter though im only going to be there for 2 as well. I guess we really are going to have to make a game plan.
