2 Days, 2 Times, 2 Tired

I have two days to go until I start my second Disney Cruise vacation with my Daughter. We are going on the September Double Dip and we're taking my best adult girlfriend along with. We have been planning this trip and chatting on our cruise meets thread since January. I have had such a great time chatting with my sailing buddies and reading previous cruisers trip reports that I have decided to take the laptop and try to do a live thread. This will be the first day of the live (almost) report.

I have managed to get some items sorted into tubs, but packing has eluded me. I don't know why, but I am having a mental block to packing! Has this happened to anyone else? It just hasn't hit me yet that we're leaving tomorrow and I am overwhelmed with all the stuff I have to do before we leave. I am leaving tomorrow for my friend's house then we'll go to the airport Thursday night. The house is a disaster area and loads (literally, loads) of laundry need to be done, the fridge needs to be cleaned out and I have to work today. It's 3:30am and I work 9-5 so, yeah, I am losing sleep. I woke up about an hour ago, and instead of starting a load of clothes, I jumped on the laptop and started this thread....

Just threw a load in to stave off the creeping guilt.

Guess I should do a cast list for this cruise...

DD and I did the 7 day post hurricane cruise in October 2004 and had such a good time we're doing it again. I called my Best Friend, I am gonna' call her "PT" from now on (I'll be referring to her a lot) in January 2006 when I booked our trip and invited her and her husband along...he declined, so it's a "Girlfriend's Only Cruise" We're calling it The "Not Your Average Disney Princess Cruise"

Other members of our cruise have started to leave the cruise meets thread and head down to Orlando, which is sad, but hopefully some of us will meet at MNSSHP this Friday! I was put in charge of planning all excursions for PT and DD so I decided last month to get MNSSHP tickets as we'll be in Florida anyways! DD and I went in 2004, I highly recommend it! A good time was had by all! This will be our only day at the parks I just don't have a lot a vacation time this year; and we have Carlos Mencia tickets on Sunday the 24th...we have to be back home then! I live in Oregon, PT lives in Washington State so there was No Way I was going to fly all the way to Florida and not go to Mickey's House. PT has never been to WDW I grew up in Buena Vista, so we went every month at least while I was growing up. I remember when it was only the MK and the River water park...what's the name of the first water park? It escapes me now, but I spent many a day with the big black inner tubes there...."River Country" or something like that... hmmm can't recall. Anyways, it will be neat seeing WDW through PT's eyes! DD wants to beat feet to Stitch's Great Escape. We missed it in 2004 as the hurricanes pushed back the opening date.. So, first stop will be Tomorrowland. O.K. I had better get moving... it's gonna' be light out soon, a clear sign to shower and get ready for work. This is going to be a long report ~ multiple posts a day are assured! I am a chatty chick!

I always wait until the day before I leave before I pack. I wash everyone's clothes and the clothes go from the dryer into the suitcases.

Just make up a packing list. Remember you will need a beach bag if you are going to any of the beaches in CM or Coz. The castaway cay returning gift does have a small bag but its really not big enough for a beach excursion.

Yes, pack the hats FIRST. Bring small denominations of money ($1, $5, $10) to buy things or pay for cabs.

When you buy things from vendors, try offering half of what the asking price is and then go higher.

Watch out for camera batteries to run out quickly - I learned that the hard way. Its the heat - it will drain batteries.

Oh Honey, I will be sure to verbally warn (especially when someone does something funny or stupid) that some people's actions can be foder for my report! LOL You and I are going to get into some trouble....I can tell! I think we're gonna' bring down DznePrincess to our level...she doesn't have far to travel.

Wonder what they do to adults who act up in Palo?!?! Maybe send them to Diversions for a flight? Time out for mommies! EEE! Oh wait, we have to stay fairly sober for the kids. Who am I kidding, they're gonna' ditch us for the clubs and we're gonna' be crying in the rainforest (at least that's the story we'll tell ~ yes fabrications can be made in the story telling... for a price )

I can't wait, I am finally getting "that feeling" you know, the one where you're just a little too happy in the middle of the afternoon on a work day? I have perma-grin and my boss is grumpy. She said she was in a bad mood 'cause I am leaving and she'll have to actually do all the work I have been doing for her that she's been getting credit for! HA! I have no guilt! Gonna' go home and packtonight and change the title of the thread to something snazzy.

Good Morning all,

We are at the Residence Inn. Very nice. Just spent three very uncrowded days inthe parks. It was amazing. We did not wait in line for a thing. They had all the fast pass machines covered up. We rode Everest twice. It is a lot of fun.

The only diser we mes up with was Beaker, so we will have one familar face. We had dinner last night at grills. The food was wonderful. They had a pretty good band playing outside also. It was late so we did not get over to the Radisson to see who was there.

Have a great Saturday and will see very one on the ship.

Um, yes, I am back from my vacation....I had too much luggage and I couldn't fit the laptop (it was a hard call between that and the pirate gear ~ pirate gear won out) and I decided after the first day that I had too much planned to actually sit down in the cove and type my vacation away. I was going to slither off in the sunset and hope this thread got burried, but some people (two different parties) saw me post today and asked what happened to my live report, so I guess I have some explaining to do.... I wrote a lot down each day, so I will sit down tonight and start the trip report (maybe) Sorry Ya'll...I am a bum.
