A friend of mine just returned from 'the world'. He said that, at check-in, he was offered a 2 day park hopper pass. He had already purchased his park tix in advance, so he declined. Unfortunately, that was as far as it got, and he did not think to ask if this was just a 'one time deal' or if Disney was offering this option going forward.

Anyone else hear this? That would be GREAT for my upcoming trip!

Just guessing here, but he may have been offered a 1 night/2 day Ultimate Park Hopper ticket (formerly known as a Length of Stay pass).

AFAIK, Disney does not offer a 2 day PH or PHP ticket to the general public. However, Disney does offer "specialty" tickets to groups/conventions. So that is a possibility too, if he was there to attend a convention or similar function.

Best wishes -

I bet it was for a convention. I just recieved my convention lit. in the mail and it offered that 2 day pass. I think it was around 70 dollars. they also offerd an after 2 o clock ticket that was for 3 and 4 days. I did not think that was a good deal as you can not Park Hop with either of these tickets. It was in bold type at the bottom. These tickets are single park admissions and do not include park hopping or water parks, DQ or PI.

just wanted to say 70.00 for a 2 day convention ticket is a great deal. the 2 day ticket price at the gate is 113.00. true you can't park hop but for those who don't want to it is a great deal.

I wish someone would send me to a convention in WDW.

Going to WDW with my sister-in-law in Jan. for a convention. I was able to buy 2 day hoppers plus for adult 108.00 including tax and kid 86.00. (convention rate) I am actually going to use these on our trip in September and get more for January. :wave2:

Some (not all) of the convention tickets have expiration dates. Be sure to check(if you haven't already) before you buy more.

I can't think of a single one that doesn't, Carol. Convention and specialty tickets like ones for sporting events come in either of three ways depending on the event.

Type one have a date that the entire ticket must be used by such as "expires on December 31, 2004". After that, the ticket is no good.

Type two has a disclaimer that the ticket "expires 10 days from first use". This allows you to holf the ticket for one future use (doesn't need to be used by the end of 2004 for example) but will expire 10 days after you use the first admission.

Type three has a set range of dates (usually for sporting events) that the ticket is valid such as 7 days prior and 7 days following the event.

I think she meant that this is quite different from Park Hopper passes - unused days never expire.
