We are just back from 7 nights at WDW. The first two were cash nights at SSR and the staff surprised us with making a dream come true and upgrading us to a 1-bedroom. Very nice, although in the back of the resort the suite was just great. Later, we moved to VWL to check into our villa and were told the villas were over booked and would we mind being upgraded to a junior suite with concierge service. Wow, I could get used to that! We saved quite a bit on meals. Breakfast on the 7th floor, a couple times a quick dinner on the 7th floor, and evening snacks on the 7th floor. Both stays were just great and no complaints about either. Who would ever have thought you could get 2 upgrades on the same vacation???

That was great Pixie Dust working for you!
Bobbi:goodvibes

Hmm. could you share a little of hte luck with me? We leave in 17 days. That's fantastic! Glad your trip was magical!

We got upgraded once from a studio to a one bedroom when we booked the studio for one night using cash and the rest of the trip in a one bedroom on points. It was nice not to have to move.

But I would really miss the king sized bed, washer and dryer from the VWL villa (unless you were in a studio) to get the WL junior suite. Even with concierge (that would be nice), I wouldn't be happy giving up a one bedroom villa.

WOW.... Can you send me your suggestion on numbers for this week's Powerball Jackpot? Thanks.

.Our stay at VWL was a studio on points. 60 points. The upgraded suite goes for about 700 dollars online.

Very happy for you - sounds like you caught a bit of the magic :wizard:

I'm a little concerned... How in the world do they over book the villas? Is the VWL room refurb still going on?

Yes, we saw online that the refurb will continue until Nov. 2 or some such date. We assume a number of the rooms were not available due to that.

That was my thought too, Deb. It wouldn't necessarily be an "upgrade" in my eyes.

I wouldn't mind an upgrade to a concierge room in BWI on Friday so I don't ahve to cross the lobby every time I want to go to the club lounge.

WOO HOOO Congratulations:wizard: . And by the way, does this mean that my villa will have a new open up couch when I check in Nov 28:santa: . I will be the one stuck on the couch. What other new stuff should I be on the look out for?

Wow! I didn't know that Disney would upgrade a Points stay, especially to Concierge Level. Lucky you!!!
