2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

Count us in for CP pre-park opening as well! :thumbsup2 Can't wait!

Tammie - what's in the puffed French Toast???

http://allears.net/din/recipes/rec_pft.htm

Here is the recipe....you and your dd will love it! Think sweet batter dip (funnel cake, fried candy bars...:rotfl2:) fried around cinammon french toast! Dang, no wonder why I can't lose any weight...my dreaming of food is making me gain!

We're doing your #87 too! I told my mom if no other ADR's or park days work out the way we plan, that we WERE doing Crystal Place before park opening on our first day for my daughter!

She was all... "oh well do y'all want to go to a different park Saturday night when we get there?"

"NO NO NO NO NO", we both told her. "It's not Disney till Magic Kingdom. That's what we want Alexa to see first!"

I would love to do MK first, but the crowd calendar just does not work for it. So I am doing the next best thing...as soon as we check in we head to breakfast at Chef Mickeys...taking the bus to MK and then walking over so they get the "YEP WE ARE HERE" magicial experience! I think with a little one like yours she needs MK first.

CP is on my list of what I am excited about too. No one else in my group... just me. I think the idea of getting to MK before the surge of crowds will be amazing!

I can't wait for us all to compare pictures!

We are doing CP as well but we made it for lunch. MK has AM EMH every day that week so we had to decide on using rope drop for rides or TS meal. We will get a quick breakfast at the resort and have an early big lunch at noon. My DD(2) loved this last year. She sleeps with a stuffed Piglet so she thought he was just a giant version of that.

Noelle

I hear great things about CP lunch too...our family likes a good breakfast which lasts us until dinner.

Glad that dd was not scared of Piglet...that makes it easy to enjoy the character experience!

Dinner & a Movie Night

Swiss Family Robinson

swisstitle.jpg

Honestly, not one of my favorite Disney movies…and I think the kids agreed that it was pretty slow and in points very boring. Of course, I had read up on the movie prior and was in shock about the treatment of animals on the set (of course this was many decades ago, and PETA would have a fit today). I think I should have gotten the newer version to hold everyone’s attention, but I can say now that they will understand the tree house in MK now!

Activities:

Coconut Races

swissdinner.jpg

Not a great start to this activity…Goo wanted to hold a coconut and Ab told him not to drop it. Guess what the first thing he did when he walked out the door. I thought she was going to kill him! The coconut only sustained minor damages so all was not lost but one of the brooms we were using bit the dust! The kids had a blast hitting the coconuts up and down the driveway cement pad.

After we had beat the coconuts to death we decided to open them up and have a try. I love the picture of Boo and the coconut…see any resemblance? You can tell by Goo’s face that we was not impressed, he was expecting the coconut milk that you make pina coladas from (crème of coconut) and what you use to make pies with (sweetened shredded flakes).

Dinner:

Tropical Fruit Salad Served in Coconut Bowls, Swiss Casserole, and Pina Colada’s

With Swiss Bars for Dessert which Boo made (and were they yummy)

Thursday Movie Trivia:
What Disney Characater sings the following song lyric: "Heaven's sakes! Is that a spot?" And from what movie?

CP will be so nice with the exta touch of Christmas decorations! Do they still do the chef of the day at CP? Years ago, Grumpy and I went solo to CP while Goofy was on a job interview. (The one that ended up moving us here!) They made Grumpy the Chef of the Day. Gave him a chef hat. Didn't let anybody in the dining room until all the character and chef greeted us and posed for pics all together. They had him decorate a special cookie and seated us, then let everyone else inside! It was soooo special and what a memory!!!!

CP is on my list of what I am excited about too. No one else in my group... just me. I think the idea of getting to MK before the surge of crowds will be amazing!

Just you are excited or just you are going there to eat?

I am not sure how we are going to handle the TSM Dash at rope drop...I need to go one way with the boys to sign them up for Jedi Training...so should I send Ab and Jeff to retrieve fast pass tickets and hold a place in line for us to ride?

While I don't understand all of the hype around this ride, I have to admit that I enjoy the theming and the competetion. So much so that after I got back from WDW I went out and bought the Wii game...which we all love to play!

Okay, I know this sounds crazy but I am excited to see the Toy Story Mania Line. I missed it my first trip with the fast pass! But from the pictures I have seen it is really done well and I need to see that interactive Mr. Potato Head!

WDW908501.jpg

Here is some information I found in my Hidden Magic Book:
*The line is designed to make you feel as if you have entered Andy's bedroom and become the size of the other toys.
*The first things from Andy's bedroom you will come across are his stacks of books...most of them are books that were influential childhood reading....check out the titles....but there are some titles mixed in that are Pixar short films.
*Next is Andy's Lincoln Logs, play-doh and silly putty
*Look at the tips of the crayons as you pass by...you can tell what colors Andy like to color with.
*Look up and see the airplanes...the name of one of them refers to a term imagineers use when designing...BLUE SKY
*Next up, Mr. Potato Head-first audio-animatronics character that can remove and replace one of its own body parts. He is also the first to have a mouth that looks like it forms real words.
*Make sure you take a look at Andy's artwork...Nemo is there along with a hidden Mickey.
*In the game itself, when you shoot a target or toss a ring, your ammunition flies and lands exactly as it would if you wre physically playing the game.

ToyStoryMania1.jpg

*Look for the Vulcan "live long and prosper" hand gesture sign Buzz makes to say goodbye!
*As you leave look at the Golden Book you pass by, as well as the "poster" made of popsicle sticks.

UGH....just got an email from Touringplans...crowd levels have gone up and best parks switched! :headache:

UGH....just got an email from Touringplans...crowd levels have gone up and best parks switched! :headache:

That happened to our October weekend too, just a couple weeks ago!! You should see my paper, there are cross outs 3 different times from 3 different changes. I'm still waiting a little before I make a keeper plan.

I would definitely send AB and Jeff to get the fp's for TSM.

I am sorry about touringplans changing things again. I really really am hoping that the crowds are manageable.... I am getting worried.:scared:

I never go by those websites. I go by how long the park is open and go that day. I figure that no matter how bad the crowds we'll get extra time to try do the things we want that way!

Friday's Trivia:

ME TOO!!!! Going to check out the damage here in a bit. :confused3:rotfl:

:woohoo:The changes were not bad as I had expected...a few tweaks in crowd numbers, nothing that would change my park plans.

I do you the crowd calendars and cross check them against easyWDW, simply because we are going the most crowded week of the year and with a family. We have to use our time wisely...if I was going at a different time, with just 1-2 people it would not be such a big deal.

And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends

From Pocahontas

When I took dance as a kid and teenager we did a dance to this song.

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers ... the Heron and the Otter are my friends!

I love Pocahontas. We don't have it for Lexa to watch :(
