2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

Subbing!! Goodness I finally caught up! We will be taking my 2 year old the week beefore yall go for her first trip. Will be starting a PTR shortly!

Welcome...sorry I have been a little behind in welcoming you! Gonna head over to your PTR and learn more about you!

I booked Lunch adr for CP but apparently can only book 5pm show with lunch adr's I'm hoping this will be ok as I doubt it'll be dark by then?!

From what I read it will not be dark yet...but getting close. I booked the 6:45 because the next day is EMH at Animal Kingdom, plus changing from USO/RPR to WDW/BWV that day...

Hello! Subscribing here. Followed you over from Shocky's PTR and looking forward to reading your plans. I hope to get caught up from the beginning at some point!

A big welcome...sorry it has taken me so long to welcome you! Going to have to head over to your PTR too! More reading , yipee...at least this is the fun kind unlike what I have done all day today!

Up and running again...with the pocket $700 lighter...:scared1: Now I have to get the hard drive data files recovered...3 years worth of pictures and all my WDW planning files (quotes at $250 to $1800 to recover)...YIKES I am not sure which is worse losing the pictures or my WDW plans...:rotfl2:.

You or DH needs to make friends with someone who is a tech nerd!!!!

Don't I know that! Dh is not exactly the type that would attract tech nerds (Mr. Outdoorsman/Mr. Contractor)...he has no idea how to even turn the computer on and our 5 year old can work his iphone better than he can!:lmao:

Haha. DF is into all that stuff. I'm ok with it.. Def couldn't transfer a hard drive though. We have had to have our iphone's pass coded since DD was about 11 months old. She programmed DF's dad's to only accept voice commands somehow. Customer Service :rotfl: at him explaining that "No, I don't know how it happened, so I can't fix it. My 1 year old grand-daughter did it. Ask her!"

OMG...that is way too funny. I am sure that customer service gets a lot of those calls! :rotfl2:

:scared1: Yikes! I hope you are able to recover everything! Our PC crashed a couple of years ago but thankfully I had backed up all of my pictures!

We went through the same thing last year and lost many years of pictures and 35,000 songs of music. And who knows what else. We were unable to recover it (even though we had negotiated to pay the big bucks like you mentioned) because the drive actually physically shredded itself. So we went back to an earlier backup and were able to get maybe 75% of it. Problem is the file names are all garbled numbers so it will take years to go through and identify and sort the stuff. Ughhhh! But maybe one day we'll be 100% back.

My point is - I feel your pain!

Sorry that I have not been around once again...I have spent literally almost 7 hours every day for the last 5 days on the computer at school planning professional development for my staff at school...my fingers and eyes hurt (so much that I have been taking celabrex all week). I am probably 2/3 of the way through...final editing and then making materials...hope I am ready for next Thursday afternoon when I go on stage! I should have brought it all home with me, but I really do not want to look at it right now!

As far as planning...I just remembered on my dead drive is my updated reveal plans as well as my ADR/park information spreadsheet...oh man...got see if we can get that recovered...that is like 8 months of obsessive planning lost!

Goo's birthday was on Wednesday...need to post a few pictures for you of my little pain! If he had been the first...he would have been an only child...he is my oops baby and in a way a miracle (I had not ovulated on over 2 years and was scheduled for a hystrectomy). There are too many days, that I feel way too old for him!

I hope you can get your info recovered. I feel for you. I lost everything on my hard drive last year.

Happy birthday to Goo!! Gotta love those miracle babies!

I can relate to the feeling too old for him. I keep thinking about how old I'll be when Anakin graduates from high school. Yikes! Would have loved having he kids closer together! Before we homeschooled, Anakin was in a preschool. Some people thought he was my grandson, ouch!

OH!! I hope you get your spreadsheet recovered. That is such a sickening feeling.

Happy birthday to Goo! Believe me...I understand the days where you feel too old. I am so glad that I have my nearly 21 year old. I think I am ready for this stage of parenting. I just am  when I hear of more and more people in their 40's starting their families. Not that I would trade my youngest for ANYTHING. She is a complete joy in my life.. but wow I am tired... and aging ever so quickly. I look in the mirror and between the wrinkles and gray (although after today now purple ;)) and the hair loss... I have to wonder "who is that?" Still challenges or not.. those stragglers are sure blessings...:goodvibes

I was almost 40 when our miracle baby decided to make his debut. He keeps me young and always on the go, Clairol's Perfect 10 hair color hides those grays, and Disney keeps me feeling like a kid!

What are the age ranges between your kids? My oldest is starting his senior year in high school and the youngest is starting 1st grade.

One of the girls I was in class with got a lovely surprise from her parents our senior year. She was 18 and her only sibling was 15 and a sophomore.
A new baby when they were both almost our of high school. My mom was almost sickemed at the thought. (At this point my brother was in 7th. and 12 I think). Her words were "They were almost done. They we're both almost 18 and out of high school. And now they are starting over. I would probably just have a heart attack and get it over with."

We we're planned 5 years apart. and we are 4 years 10 months almost to the day apart. As far as not being able to exactly plan all that stuff, they did pretty well getting 5 years between us. And there would be no more to follow my brother... Not even "whoops" babies. My mom was serious! :rotfl:

Mine are not really "far" apart...this year I will have a kindergartner, a 6th grader starting middle school, and a freshman starting high school. :lmao: Yep, the same year. There must have been something in the water that year, cause we had 4 other friends who had 2 children spaced just the same as Ab and Boo and they also ended up with a Goo...My mistakes was laughing at them when they told me the situation...the last laugh ended up one me!:lmao: So at least I know 4 other parents in Kindergarten this year...and we are together in middle school, and high school!

I had a fellow teacher at my former school who herself had just graduated from college, getting her daughter graduated from high school that year...and wound up expecting! Glad that was not me!

I was 34 when expecting my youngest... I just turned 35 right before she was born. My oldest turned 15 the year that my youngest was born. So basically my kids were 15, 12 and 10 when my youngest was born.

Well, we have been lucky that our only surprise was our first. I think God always has a plan. Dh and I were just starting out. I was in college.. he was just starting his career. We had no plans of starting our family just yet. All our others were as planned as they could be. Our youngest just too way longer getting to us than we ever would have planned.

Things do happen and as we live longer and "stay young" longer, we are bound to see more and more "second families" I know had we had more, I would have considered us to have one set... and then a second. As it is, I just consider dd to be a straggler.

Where I live though, it is very common to have lots of kids so I am not so out of place having my dd and the other 3.

Yeah Alexa was wayyyy earlier than we had planned too. We were both 20 when she was born, but we wouldn't go back and do anything different. She was a special gift. If we had waited till later to have her, I might not have gotten to have the experiences with her and all of her great grandparents and great great grandparents. And I treasure all the times they have gotten to share with her already.

OUCH.... on the hard drive, I hate when things like that pop up!

Happy late birthday to Goo! I hope that it was happy! You think your old.... my aunt and uncle couldn't have kids for the 20 years that they were married (they adopted a daughter at one point), they moved to New Hampshire and within a year they had twins and shortly after the twins were born they had another little girl! So when the twins wer born they were already 42!!!!

Did you ever get the Disney spred sheet up? Maybe see if Abby has a computer friend in high school- a parent just "hired" my BIL to fix some stuff and I go to him too when something on my computer happens! ha ha plus he started working with my DH (Dh is an electrician) and now my DH boss lets him do the computer wiring jobs! Just saying the sometimes the high school kids are better and cheaper than going to a "pro"!

Happy birthday to Goo!

I sure hope you can get your planning work from your broken hard drive. :(
