If I were to stand on the side photographing DD's dolphin experience, I'd rather have her in the closest group possible. If we get there early, can we request a close pod even if it means taking a later time, or do you have to take what you're assigned?

We swam from the Starfish and the Sand Dollar Cabanas and we're close to the shore. Honestly, with a zoom lense you could get ok shots. The only problem is that you've got 3 groups in one area going at the same time so don't expect a clear shot. The photographers do an excellent job on close-up pics (kissing the dolphin, posing with a full length dolphin shot and the ride ) so don't fear, it'll work out.
The video is nice too and is a must do if you can afford it.

still my advise,,,,,, don't miss out and swim with her. It's an incredible experience and it's nice to be together during the pod experience so you'll have somebody to talk to and say...look at that....ooooohhh....ahhhhhh !

Liz, I still don't know what to do about the swim. We're W-A-Y stretching the budget with this as it is, so to add another $100 for the swim, plus $60 for the video and untold amounts for the still pics...

OTOH, "Amo" would be more comfortable if I were with her, and it's always been my dream to swim with dolphins, too.

OTOH, an extra $200ish dollars, when I really would be able to enjoy her experience vicariously from the shore...

OTOH.... You see my dilemma. Sigh.

I feel your pain because I'm still paying off my DC visit. My dd's only 8 so she needed me there. I figured that it's way expensive so we might never get back there and I didn't want to say I should've, so I took the plunge, went into debt, and had an incredible time.
I can't tell you what to do, but just have fun and worry about the money later. You only live once and they're only little once is what I kept saying to myself as I was breaking in my credit card. ;) The only thing that saved me was the WMMO code was still available and then it was only 199- each. (no seaworld passes though)

Good luck on your decision and have fun!

How much is the video? What is all on it and how long is it?Also, the pictures -how much and what size. I read somewhere about a disc with 10 pics on it. How much is it? Thanks Can't wait until 3/21/04!!!
