We will be staying at WLV and I was wondering if all 2/br units are a 1/br with a studio thats attached?

Is this the setup at all DVC properties, or are some specifically 2/br? (i.e. no double entry)

Thanks

At VWL, there are both types, dedicated 2 BR and lockoff's. The lockoff's have a queen and pull out full in the second and the deciated ones have 2 queens and only the one entrance.

Tink...your confirmation should indicate "dedicated 2BR" or "lock-off 2BR". The one you described is what they call a lock-off...formed by a 1BR and a studio combined with a connecting door.

So you should be able to tell from your reservation confirmation sheet. But I'm not sure that really tells you much. This summer I was staying at DVC twice and both times the confirmation said "Lock-off 1BR", meaning it should have had a door locked that would adjoin it to a studio in a 2BR layout.

Both times, we got a dedicated 1BR.

BWV has only lock-off 2BR's; others have both lock-offs and dedicated.

A fair amount of the dedicated 2dr units at BCV have the QueenBed/FullSleeper configuration. Something about ADA quidelines and accessability. The second queen would limit access with some of the room layouts?

I know the Original Poster was asking about WLV, but I just wanted to comment on what TiggerFreak said.

The full size sleeper sofas are being replaced in all of the 78 2 bedroom dedicated villas at BCV, 25 of them are being replaced with queen size beds and the other 53 are being replaced by queen size sleeper sofas. They hope to be done replacing these in the first part of 2003.

They messed up building and furninishing and since they'd sold it as 2 qeen beds in the dedicated 2 BR units, this was their solution. Apparently legal constraints prevented changing all of the dedicated 2 BR unit to 2 queen beds.

Thanks for all of your reply's!

If it is a 2/br dedicated room, is there a door at the room entrance? Between the room and the BR and the sitting room?

Thanks Again!

I'm so excited this will be our first stay in a dvc room!
