we are going with friends in june. we are both members.

so we want to book a 2 bedroom. we are going to split the points.

so i was going to give my half of the points to my friend to book the 2 bedroom.

1. if she books it and our names are added to the reservation can i book our ADR's at the 180 window?

2. same question for 60 day fast pass window.

or can she only do everything cause it's in her name.

i should know the answer to this but i don't.

Put in resie number on both MDE accounts (yours and your friend's) and you also friend each other so you can see everything each other does. Each will be able to book. I did this with SIL and I booked most stuff but had her book some when we needed 2nd table at ADR (we had party of 8 total and had trouble getting tables for 8 everywhere).

Everyone can book ADR at the 180 days mark. To my knowledge you dont need a resort reservation for that.

If you add the confirmation number to your MDE then you can make your FP+ at the 60 day mark.

Another thing to add, if you give(transfer) the points to your friend then remember that the points will not be visible online and the points can only be used calling in.

Only exception is, if you own the same resort and the same UY.

We did a three way call when we wanted to book a reservation with our DCUZ. First I booked my days and she finished the week off. MS linked it, we never had to move, but the credit cards had to be shown at the desk on the first day of the second part. This was at Aulani. My name was always lead on the first part, hers on the second part, but it was seemless. No transfers at all.

that i had no idea about not seeing the points. last time i did this with a friend we did a 3 way call to transfer.

that was good info cause i would have not realized.

thanks for the idea! i don't know what we r really going to do. we are trying to get in beach club but i don't know if i want to deal with all this. i doubt we will even get it. it's filling up quickly. can't walk cause there is a random one day missing.

yes you an book dining at 180 days, but with a reservation for say a 8 night stay, you can book at 180 days for the entire trip. So it's like 188 day window. If you are not staying at a WDW resorts/DVC resort you can only book that 1 day.
