2 bedroom at AKL kidani in sept

How likely is it that I will be able to get a 2 bedroom at kidani AKL for sept 2014 at my 11 mth window?

What are the differences between a lock off and a dedicated 2 bedroom and can you request one vs the other?

You will have no problems booking at your 11 month window.

A lock-off 2-bedroom is made up of a 1-bedroom and a studio with an interior connecting door. The studio becomes the second bedroom and has a kitchenette. It will have 2 doors to the outside of the unit.

A dedicated 2-bedroom will usually have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. There are some at BCV that have a queen bed and sleeper sofa in the 2nd bedroom. There will be only one exterior door.

Chances of getting AKV savanna or standard view at 11 months out are 100% for any time of year. In fact, those are usually easy to get at 7 months out. AKV has two buildings, Jambo the original AKL building which has DVC on 5th floor, and Kidani which is all DVC. All 2BRs in Jambo are lock-offs. Kidani has both lock-off and dedicated and the Kidani building and dedicated 2BRs are guaranteed booking categories that you request at time of reserving. The Kidani 2BRs are significantly larger than Jambo's and are the nicer 2BRs.

Note, if instead you want a club level room, those can often go extremely quickly at 11 months out and can actually be gone even before your 11 month out attempt. Likewise, if you want value rooms (value because they are smaller than others), those can often go fairly quickly at 11 months out but for Sep, they are usually there for some time into the 11 month window. Club Level and value are in Jambo only.
