We have a 2 bedroom villa reserved for the second week in April. Should I call the property directly and request a marsh view now or just wait until we arrive? Also, are 2 bedroom villas available in the main lodge? I think my preteens would like the hotel feel. This is our first trip to Hilton Head and we can't wait!

I'd make any requests as early as possible. Don't wait until arrival- your options will be very limited at that time.

There are no dedicated 2BR villas in the lodge- all are lock-off studios and 1BR villas. Several are handicap accessible units. There are actually very few rooms in the lodge at all. There are 16 studios and 16 1BR's in that area and only about 12 of those are in the lodge itself.

Have a great trip! :)

With all the last post said, we have been in a 2 bdroom in lodge twice. We did not request anyting but enjoyed being in the lodge. We have also been in building 13(very quiet and secluded) and 31 with a great view of the inlet into shelter cove(saw dolphins very morning in July). I have never gotten a bad room and the only thing that I would not want is a room overlooking the slide pool in the summer.

PS we just love HHI and bought 50 add on points there just this October.
