Do all 2 Bedroom units have 2 balconies or only non-dedicated? We are trying to decide if given a choice upon check-in between a dedicated 2br or not. DH and I and DS's 15 and 13. My thought with a non-dedicated is that they would have their own fridge, another balcony and a separate entrance (not sure if that is good or bad) Any thoughts or pros and cons?

Which resort are you asking about? At BWV, I believe they all have 2. Not sure about the others, and at OKW there is one HUGE balcony that accommodates a table and 4 chairs that will open both onto the living room and master, but not two balconys unless you have a lock off.

Dedicated or lockoff is usually reserved when you make the reservation. They usually will not give you a choice at check-in. Call member services and find out which you have reserved.

A lockoff would give them a separate entrance and kitchenette in the second bedroom.

We just returned from SSR and had a dedicated 2BR. We were on the third floor and only had 1 balcony which was off the living room.

All lockoff 2Bs should have two balconies since the 1B and Studio would each have their own.

At SSR, dedicated 2Bs only have one balcony.

If you're comparing / contrasting the lockoff and dedicated units, here are a couple things to remember:

* In a dedicated 2B at SSR, the second bedroom has two queen beds. The lockoff has one queen and a sofabed.
* The lockoff 2B has the kitchenette in the second bedroom, while the dedicated room has a very nice, wide closet in that same location.
* The lockoff has two entry doors. The dedicated has still more closet space in the area where the second entry door would have been located.

Thanks all! You are a great bunch!!!! I just got off the phone with MS and we are booked in a dedicated 2BR. I guess I thought it was the luck of the draw. MS told me that unless a lockoff is requested, they assign the dedicateds first, therefore allowing more studios and 1BRs to be available. Makes sense!
I guess I'll stay with the dedicated. Just thought the boys might like their own mini fridge and balcony....plus I think they'd have their own vacuum cleaner....I'm sure they'd use it daily :rotfl2:
