2 adjoining rooms at POP vs 1 room for 5 at Port Orleans Riverside?

I am planning my bi-annual Disney trip and this time we will have Myself, my spouse, my daughter and 2 grandkids for a total of 5. Like most of us, we are on a budget but we MUST have the dining plan. I have priced out the trip with 2 rooms at POP vs 1 room for 5 at Port Orleans Riverside(one of the grandchildren would be on a trundle bed:confused: ). The price is about $100 difference. We have stayed at POP and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! We have never stayed at Port Orleans Riverside but a friend did and she loved it too. Is there anyone out there that has stayed at both and have a preference? If so, can you share? Pretty Please.

We have stayed at both and I liked them both for different reasons. My dh hated Pop though. It was too "busy" and loud for him. The kids loved both. They loved the pool at Pop and the quiet pools at POR. They loved all the ducks at POR and the fishing. We stayed at POR twice with 6 people in the room. (one was under three). We did not have any trouble with space because we did not spend much time in the room. This past Aug we had two rooms at AKL which was good because we spent alot of time in the room due to weather and sick kids. You will have to consider how much time you will be spending in the room to help you determine if you would be happier with the extra space.

I guess I should have read through the whole thread before I posted. :) Have fun at Pop. It's a fun resort.

Have to chime in with another vote for Pop we loved the connecting rooms for 5 of us and it was cheaper than a deluxe. The 2 bathrooms and 2 TVS are definately a huge plus.

We aren't getting to go till 2009 and I should have double checked my facts before I posted them:blush: Originally we were staying till Saturday and that added a Holiday season night at the hotel+another day of tickets+another day of dining which made up the difference. Soooo sorry bout that. I did reprice and it is only about $136 extra at the family suites. After reviewing it again, we are still choosing to stay at POP. Last time we went, we never had the need for a fridge and having to share the bus line with the ASMovie, ASSport & ASMusic vs the POP having its own bus line is enough to help me make my final decision.

Thank you all for all your help!:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
