How's the Christmas planning coming along

Thank goodness for the internet .....I've just been late night shopping (lol).

I too have been shopping online late. That was the only place that I could find a Wii for my youngest. That was the only thing on his Christmas list! Welcome to all of the new folks! I haven't been on here much lately due to studying for finals. I will definitely be ready to join everyone on the Love Boat while my poor children are freezing here in Indiana! My DH and I are eagerly counting down the days until we set sail, our 3rd year in a row for the same week in Feb! There is definitely something magical about being on the open sea during Valentine's Day!

I think we're actually ahead of the game at this point. We may get our tree this weekend.

I did the majority of our shopping last weekend.......got all 18 neices & nephews taken care of by 7AM last Friday, as well as my bestfriends kids (the kids all exchange gifts). I took care of my DS online this year, I may pick up a couple more things for his stocking but for the most part I think I'm done. DH and I aren't exchanging gifts for the first time ever, we've been buying lots of stuff for our new house.....did I mention we bought the most beautiful white leather furniture for our formal living room a couple weeks ago, and I must say it's the most comfortable thing I've ever sat on too!

Now if I could just get a little elf to come to my house to help wrap all these presents. Geesh!

We haven't figured out what we're doing for our parents yet.....that's alway a difficult one.

We haven't figured out what we're doing for our parents yet.....that's alway a difficult one.

We are buying mine tickets for a cruise on the Manchester Ship Canal (I am not joking !)..........not sure what you'd compare that to in the US.....but if I just say they have an interest in industrial archeology, that should give you a better picture of the kind of senery involved !

My boys have chatting with some of the kids on the kids thread. I haven't been keeping up with it but I think they have found some common interests with the kids from the UK. Guess I could have read the other thread first....

Has anyone put together a list of excursions that people are doing? I think we are a taking a taxi to the Seven Grapes of Wrath beach in Grand Cayman.

KEY WEST: we were thinking about staying on the ship, but one of our cruisemates pointed out a Dolphin watch type thing that we may still be thinking about trying.
GRAND CAYMEN: Yep, thinking about taking a Taxi to Sea Grapes.
COZUMEL: torn between Paradise Beach & Nachi Cocum.
CASTAWAY CAY: we love hanging out on the beach, as you can see.

Just wanted to say Bye for the week. We are leaving tomorrow for the World and Mickey's Christmas Party on Tuesday!! Can't wait, hopefully the weather will be 40 plus degrees warmer!! Have a great week see you on the 16th!!

Wow that's great .......wish we could get a quick fix of Mickey too ..... I suppose we could pop over to Disneyland Paris, but it aint going to be 40 plus degrees warmer ....and from what I've heard, the French CMs really struggle to get to grips with the concepts of Disney 'magic' and customer service.

GRAND CAYMEN: A stingray tour, through a non -DCL excursion.

COZUMEL: Nachi Com beach break most likely.

How's everyone this morning? Just sitting here drinking my coffee, working from home. Glad I decided to bring some work home with me last night, the roads got covered in freezing rain around here.

So, here's what I'm thinking......
Plan on surprising DS9 on Christmas morning with the cruise. So far I have in the box: matching Pirate Shirts, white Mickey Gloves, Micket Ears & Hat, Minnie & Mickey Ornaments (already gave him the Jack Skellington because I couldn't resist), swim trunks. Then I thought I'd create a page (probaly a scrap page) that said something like this.....

3 Passports $300
3 Roundtrip Airline Tickets $600
7 Days on a Cruise Ship $4000
The look on Brandon's face when he realizes he's cruisin' with Mickey on his birthday...........................PRICELESS!!!

that's what I was thinking too....I'm usually pretty sluggish on Christmas morning and kinda slow with the camera (after being out all night with the family events), I don't always get very good action pictures that morning. I tried to talk DH into letting him open it the night before, but he's not budging. I might have to tell him to grab DS's little camera too so we have twice as many chances to get a good picture. That way when we're done I can insert picture and add to the scrapbook.
