2/9/10 Questions for the Team will be taken from this thread only.

Hi Podcrew!

I am always curious about the Podcasters so that's my first question.

1. What kind of music do you all listen to? Any favorites (aside from the Single Ladies song, of course).

Second question is a little random but since I'm doing this Biggest Loser thing at work, exercise is constantly on my brain now.

2. I am wondering how many miles the average person walks in a day in WDW. I wonder if there is a stat out there somewhere?

Thanks for all you do and have a great show! :thumbsup2

Hi, Team, I have two questions:

1. My family with two boys (4 & 8) has bemoaned the lack of a boy character meal @ WDW. If you guys were going to create a "boy themed" character meal, which characters would you have and where (what restaurant) would you do it in?

2. I know a lot of you Podcast team members are Middle-Atlantic States transplants (Jersey represent!). And I *think* I remember Kevin saying he had gone to WDW as a kid. Pete, did you also go as a kid? And did you guys drive or fly?? popcorn::

Have a great podcast!!!

If you were told you get to design the next Disney deluxe resort what would the theme be and where would it be located.

Am I a typical Dreams Client?

I feel like I have been a real pain in the derriere for Kathy this trip. I have changed things probably 3 or 4 times. Is this typical for people planning their vacations? Or have I just bugged Kathy way too much this time? Do you think it is because some people (those obsessive Disney Planners, like me) plan their trips so far in advance?

Thanks, have a good show.

Have you read about the new virtual queue they were testing at RnR in mid December? How do you feel about the idea of a virtual queue and do you think it will work or have issues. How will it affect FP or child swap?

I know the plan is to try and implement it in the future, starting with the double Dumbos in Fantasyland or sooner?- so guests get a boarding pass number, wait in the carnival tent with interactive games/entertainment and then go ride when their boarding group is called. I guess much like getting on a plane. any thoughts- yay, nay on this idea?

I'm considering making a move. Can you tell me about the area suburbs, the schools and job market in the area?

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you visit and why?

Are any of you bothered about eating free range meat (chicken, pork) and eggs? i.e. would you check at a restaurant?

Is the new Holiday Inn on Hotel Plaza Blvd. open yet? Has anyone been over to see it?

Hi Podcast Team!

I love to stroll around World Showcase and see the live performances in each country. There is such a variety, live miusic, acrobats, comedy and candy artistry to name a few.

What are your favorite live performances in Ecpots World Showcase?

When you were little (or even today), did any of you have trouble finding your name spelled correctly on souvenirs? I spent my whole childhood thinking I must have been the only Caroline who ever wanted a Disney keychain. Carol, Carole and Carolyn cleaned up, though. :rotfl:

Hi Podcast crew,
Sitting here in Westwood,NJ waiting for the snow, thought I might ask a question. I am helping my friend plan a trip for her family. It will be her family's first trip. She is planning to go GO ALL OUT. The trip will be 2 adults 2 children 9&11. She has the opposite issue of Teresa.(no budget as of yet) So my Question is if you were planning a trip without budget issues where would you stay and why?
Thank You,
Mary Kay

Hi Podcast Crew!
My girlfriends and I are headed to the World for a 40th birthday celebration in November. We'll only be there 2 days, spending one day at Epcot for Food and Wine and the next day at Magic Kingdom, before heading down to Tampa for the rest of our long weekend getaway. We'll be staying at POP, so we can take ME from the airport when we arrive. On the day we leave, we'll need to rent a car to drive to Tampa. I know there used to be a car rental place on Disney property near the Magic Kingdom. Is it still there, and can you take Disney transportation to get there? Also, if I've already checked out of POP before I get the car, can I still park for free that day as a resort guest at the Magic Kingdom?

Thanks so much for all you do! I look forward to exercising when I can listen to the podcast!! :woohoo:

Hi all!! I am planning a short stay at the poly this June, I have relatives staying off site that are comming to drop off my niece for overnight and a little visit, can they get in the gate? I know that they check the cars comming in, I don't want them to get towed or have any issue getting in, how should I handle this? I did get a parking pass type thing for display in our car the last trip, how many to you get per room, just one? Thanks guys, I love you and the show!

Hello All,

On last week's e-mail show you said that taking a taxi/town car to the Magic Kingdom or that area's hotels and the $10.00 Disney charged to those services. I was wondering if you requested your driver to take the road past Fort Wilderness instead of the main road, to bypass the toll booth and thus the $10.00 charge, if that would work out better. I am not sure if that is completely out of the way and would cost more, or if it is frowned upon and Disney may impose a fine on the car service providers. I'm sorry I don't know the name of the road, but I know that road dumps you out on the far side of the toll booths.

Looking forward to the show.

I'm thinking about taking my husband to Discovery Cove on our adult only trip to Disney. But the idea of getting in the water with dolphins freaks me out. Is there anywhere I can watch (from a safe distance) so my husband can still participate?

Thanks! I LOVE Corey & Julie's 'couple things to do' segments!

Not so much a question, but more of a statement/story.

Let me be be in the minority that is is glad Pete is not on the show any longer. When we were driving a home to NY over Christmas, we were listening to the crew's last show of 2009. Pete ended the show with his usual "Stay out of the damned lakes"

Wel,l my kids were in the backseat watching movies, and all of a sudden my 6 year old son yells up to the front..."Dad....why can't we go to the damned lakes?" I was at a loss for word...trying not to completely break out laughing :)

So...now that Pete is no longer on the show, I can safely listen to the podcast with my children!!!!

Of course I am kidding, and miss Pete as much as everybody else, and wish to hear him on the podcast as much as possible, but thought that you guys would appreciate the story!

Last visit I found it interesting to take in the Streetmosphere preformers. It really added a special feeling to the day. I am not one to stand in a crowd for a parade but enjoyed the more spontaneous less crowded moments like the trolly coming down main street in the morning with the preformers. I found it was ussually in the mornings but perhaps I was to busy touring the rest of the day. Any hints or must see preformers that I should look out for...and favs?
