Hi folks,

This is the place to post questions for the Podcast Team.

We will record the weekly discussion show beginning at 2:00pm.

Instead of reading emails and answering voicemails....we will take questions from this thread and from Facebook.

Think of some great questions.:thumbsup2

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

I have a question!!!

Okay, we have pre-magic your way tickets from 2004 with 1 day left, non expiration, plus options at time were the water parks/Wide waste of space/pleasure island....so.......

The question:

Are we stuck to water parks now if we we use up our plus options on the pre-MYW tickets or we eligible for the renamed ESPN Waste of Space and Disney Quest?

P.S.
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Congrats to Saints and their fans for crushing the Colts! (Sorry Will and my Indy friends)

I have a question also.

Do you know off any special arrangements for visually impaired people on DCL??

Not extra's for blind people because i know they have stuff in braille but i'm looking for extra's for myself, like large font menu's or navigators or staterooms with extra bright light, that stuff.

Thanks team!!!

Hi Podcast Crew,

I am booking a solo trip from Dec 4-13 and I will be using Magical Express. I am thinking of moving my flight to Dec 3rd and renting a car from the airport to drive to St Augustine and spend the night there as that is where I went to college. I will then drive back to the airport the next day to return the car. Can I use Magical Express on the 4th if I make the arraignment to do this ahead of time?

Thanks for the help.

Hi Podcast crew I have a question and a request please.

We found The Kim Possible mission was a great way to get the troops involved in EPCOT's World Showcase. We have completed a couple of countries and plan to do some more this summer.
Is there any particular missions that are better than others?

Would be nice to see/hear a review of the Kim Possible experience.

Well, this may be off topic or not what you intended, but I have not seen anyone think of this yet on the Facebook page or here. There is a VERY important holiday coming up this weekend - what would each of the Podcast team consider as their best way to do something romantic for their loved one while at the World? It is the most magical place on earth after all!

(PS) Corey, that was a big hint for you from another guy who made the mistake of missing an important holiday once, many years ago :scared1:. I get frequent reminders now from her cousin.

Hi Podcast Crew

Hopefully a nice easy question for you.

Since this is probably the last time we will be visiting Florida together as a family with parents due to the increase in costs of flights and now being tied to school holidays, can each of the podcast team suggest just one thing that they would do if they visited Florida (not just Disney) one last time...... Dont mind if it's parks, food or events
Just to make it a bit harder, it needs to be for the last week in October / first week in November and must be drivable from the Disney area.

Thanks

Okay, here's mine...

I think a lot of us are interested in moving to Florida at some point; can you talk a little bit about the pros and cons of moving to FL, as well as some areas you would recommend looking at if visiting the parks was a priority? Also, any other information you could give would be great. Thanks! :)

Hi,

We ( a family of four) - are planning our first trip to WDW this April - coming from Australia we can't play around much with our dates or expect to return next year if we 'miss something'.

After reading a lot of information on the Dis we amended our original planned four days at the parks to 6, allowing two days for each Magic Kingdom and Epcot. We have also included one spare day during the trip to explore the resorts.

We had planned to go to Magic Kingdom on Friday 23 April, but have since found out it will be closing at 7pm for Graduation night. My questions is what will Magic Kingdom be like during that day? Should we still plan on going and leaving at 7pm to do something else, or should we swap our plans and go to Magic Kingdom on the Thursday (which was our planned no park day)? Swapping our plans will let us see wishes twice - but if the park on the day of the Graduation party is normally quiet we may get to go on more rides?

Thanks for your help, I look forward to listening to the show each week.

A non-Disney question;)

Do any of you like to cook? Do you like to cook for friends and/or family? Do you have any specialities?

Thanks and have a wonderful day,:flower3:

(P.S. - Wow, just read FB, LOT of good questions, how ever will you choose?!?)

I like staying up late while on vacation. What are the best late-night/all-night things to do in and near WDW?

Addicted to the podcast,
Lee

Seeing that you started this thread at 2:05 am sort of leads into my question for the team . . .

In your non-Disney worlds - What do you do for fun? What if any are your hobbies?
And, just for Kevin - what are you doing up at 2 in the morning ??

A transportation question.
We are staying at the Beach Club Villa's <it'll be our 1st time home> and I'm
confused about using DIsney buses there. We may want to go to Wilderness
Lodge for the Hoop-dee-doo show and the Segway tour. I know that area is big and has internal buses, so how would I first get to the Wilderness lodge from BCV, and once there how do I get to these two events.
also is there a minature golf course within walking distance of BCV.
Thanks for all you do
Go Saints

We (my husband and I) have done the Un-discovered Future World and Keys to the Kingdom tour in previous trips to the world. We were extremely lucky to have Anna as our KTTK guide in December 2008! We loved both tours and wondered what your favorite tours/activites are and any suggestions on what to try on our next trip. We are also looking at going to Disneyland next year. Do they have different tours there?

Do any of you have experience using off-prpoerty ECV rentals? I am taking my mother with us in April, and we have a Handicap Accessible Treehouse Villa reserved. We have taken her in the past, and rented ECVs in the parks but found three problems with it: 1.) The cost is extremely high on Disney property, 2.) You cannot get a guaranteed rental (when Disney runs out of ECVs, you're out of luck), 3.) We found the walk around our resort to exhaust my mom, and really needed an ECV for her at the resort.

Can you recommend any off-propoerty ECV rental companies? Do these companies deliver the vehicles, or do we have to go pick them up? Any information you may have about this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Podcast team!

First if all, congrats to the New Orleans Saints on their first ever SuperBowl win! Who Dat!

Now for my question...planning a trip to WDW is half the fun for me. I love to plan! So I am always on Disney's website getting quotes for upcoming trips. Even though I usually book with DU, I still go to the Disney website to get prices for different hotels as well as different times of the year.

Well, a few weeks ago, when closing out a quote or going back to the home page, I noticed a pop up box stating "We notice that you did not book a reservation for a Walt Disney World Resort room or vacation package today at disneyworld.com.
Would you please help us serve you better by telling us why?"

Some of the choices are the obvious options such as "I couldn't get the resort, room type, dates, or specific offer I wanted" OR "I am still planning my trip and am not ready to book" BUT the one that I choose everytime I get the popup is "I experienced unacceptable delays or technical difficulties with the web site". Even though it's not always the case, I still choose it to send a message to them that they need to improve the website. But I am only one person.

On recent podcasts, I have also heard ya'll also complain about their website so I know I am not alone with my thinking. So my question is, can we all stick together and choose the option "I experienced unacceptable delays or technical difficulties with the web site"? Can you please let everyone know about this option? Maybe this will send a message to Disney. Remember--the power of the podcast!!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this PSA and keep up the good work!

Hi Podcast Team--I think this would be a transportation question.

This summer we are staying at WDW and want to go to Universal to check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We are using Magical Express so we don't have a car. What is the best way to get to Universal and back to WDW?

I really enjoy the podcasts. Thanks for your help, Jennifer.

High Podcast Team! Long time listener to the podcast and major "lurker" on the boards. I have finally decided to step out and post a couple of questions...in the famous words of Peter Pan HERE WE GO!

On our last trip to the WDW (September 2009) we stayed at the Pop Century as we have the last couple of trips. My questions are as follows:

1. Based upon the current economy, what is a reasonable time frame to expect Disney to do something with the "Legendary" Years? It is such an eyesore if you stay in the back of the resort facing the lake.

2. I am contemplating a suprise trip for myself and the wife (we have never been by ourselves, only with our child or in-laws (another story in of itself)) and have only stayed at value resorts on property. What moderate resort would you recommend for two adults and why?

Thanks for the time, and I hope to post more often. Keep up the GREAT work.

Hi Kevin,

What is the favorite thing that the Podcast Team likes to do in the Disney Parks that is a non-ride attraction?

In either Disneyland or Disney World - it could give us ideas to do other fun things than just go on the rides.

Thanks!

Rebecca
