2/6/2014 Dream 3-night Bahamian

Spoke to DCL today and they told me the following movies will be playing on our cruise:
Frozen
Finding Nemo 3D
Monsters University
Thor: Dark World
Saving Mr. Banks

I've seen all except Saving Mr. Banks--looking forward to seeing it!

The only one I seen was "Saving Mr. Banks" I'm sure my granddaughter will like the movies, if we can pry her away from Oceaneer Club. She enjoys live shows :thumbsup2

Just booked this cruise 18 days out for my son's 5th birthday. Just a mommy and son trip this time. As we're discussing his WDW birthday trip, he tells me last night, "Mommy, I don't want to go to WDW again, I want to get back on the ship." Now, that is my boy! And the bonus is that he is 42 1/4 inches- just makes it for the Aquaduck. He missed it last time with big brother. He's excited to see Frozen onboard.

Never done one with short notice before and WOW, this ship seems uncrowded. I'm really loving the Nassau day with only one other ship in port for about 6600 pax total. I think I'll even get off the ship this time and finally get to see Blue Lagoon. I've heard amazing reviews and it shouldn't be a bit crowded. Hoping to convince him to go to the club without his brother so I get some Rainforest time too.

Hi All! DW and I just booked this cruise to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary. This is the second year in a row that we take advantage of the great Florida Resident rate for our anniversary. We are huge Disney fans and the service and food on the Disney Cruise can not be beat! Looking forward to seeing you all on the ship!

My wife and I are taking our 6 year old son. He has no idea we are going. We live in Tampa and are driving over on the morning of the 6th. He will be SHOCKED when he sees us pull up at the port. We are in stateroom #6600. It is a connector to #6602, anybody on here in that stateroom?

Hello everyone! I'm Savi, and my friend Zac and I just booked ourselves this trip. We are SO excited!

I'm 19, and Zac is 22, and we're traveling just the two of us. This is my second cruise but my first with Disney, however I've wanted to go on a Disney cruise since I first got my hands on a DCL planning video when I was 6 :p I don't know how I've managed to stay at almost every Disney resort but I haven't gotten around to a cruise!! This is Zac's first cruise. He grew up on St. Croix, so he's really looking forward to getting to explore the ocean again (the Gulf really doesn't count).

I hope to get to meet some of you guys!!

Hey there! Zac and I are from Tampa as well (well, pretty much, we're in Brandon). I bet your son will be SO happy, what an amazing surprise! I was 6 when I first started asking my parents if we could go on a Disney cruise.

I'm not sure which room we're in yet, because I booked a last minute deal last night, actually. I do know it will have a verandah (the deal I found made it so a verandah room was even cheaper than like a category 10/11), which makes me really happy. When I went on an RC cruise with my friend and his family, the verandah experience was definitely not that great. Everyone on RC pretty much used their verandah as a chain smoking haven, so non-smokers couldn't really enjoy it... I love Disney's strict smoking rules!!

I'm really excited to try DCL, because when I tried RC last year I felt jaded towards cruising, but since I found such a great deal with DCL and since I'm a HUGE Disney fan, I figured I'd give cruising another shot. I felt like the RC cruise was aimed at old people who liked to drink; I saw almost no families with children over 3, which tells me that their family activities are boring (looking at the daily navigators, all the kids' activities did look really lame on RC, but looking at some sample navigators from DCL I'm almost sad I'm not 10 and can't do some of the kids' stuff!). I also saw almost no teenagers or young adults at all. It kind of just felt like a giant floating bar/casino. I don't like to gamble at all, and I'm too young to even buy myself a glass of wine, so I really felt left out on RC.

I can't wait to see who we will be joining for our dinner! We have the second seating. On my last cruise, my friend's family was so very big that we didn't get to sit with anyone we didn't know, which made me a bit sad.

Savi,

We will need to meet up on the cruise. My wife and I don't drink much at all. Our son will probably want to spend a lot of time in the kids club. What do you do in Brandon? My wife and I are both teachers.

Hi Savi,

You and Zac ate going to love DCL. I became addicted the first Disney cruise I went on. The other cruise ships may be cheaper, but you won't get treated like you do on Disney.

I felt like royalty, my friend couldn't get over how different he was treated than on RC. People that have taken other cruise ships switched to Disney....you'll soon find:thumbsup2 out and can compare. Let me know what you think. :yay:

Sounds good to me! We'll definitely be spending a lot of time eating, it would be nice to have company during breakfast/lunch, and we'll be checking out the adult-restricted areas. How would you like to arrange meeting up?

Zac and I are both full time college students. I have a part time job as a real estate assistant, and Zac does work with his dad at a local production studio.

What county do you guys teach in?

Well, now that you're both cruised the Disney Dream, what do you think? Was it what you expected or more??
My granddaughter cried, she did NOT want to get off the Disney Dream. We went to WDW afterward and she wanted to go back on the ship....forget WDW. :thumbsup2
