2/13/2005 Wonder

So much for that storm . . . So much hype, so little snow . . .

Supposed to be in the 50's next week . . . Go figure . . .

Rick

I got our lime green Mickeys today. princesspumpkin I foward you pm to my DD.

The kiddos have been out of school for the past 5 days and probably will be out until next Tuesday. This part of the Poconos was hit hard with the two ice storms last week. We didn't have electric Thurs. - Saturday night. URGH!
Some 10,000+ :earseek: still don't have power. THe local paper said that this was the worst power outage due to weather in the history of Monroe County. We got some more snow today and now we're getting freezing rain. OH well, it's suppose to be 60 here on Thursday. :flower1:

Pocono

I'm in Peoria, IL this week for work. Last night, we had an honest to goodness thunderstorm. It was in the mid 60's. Tonight, we get the deep freeze. What a wild January we are all having . . .

One month!!!

Rick

It's getting close and getting harder to keep it a secret. Yesterday, Penna. had flooding and then snow all in the same day. We're having such a wacky weather winter. Can't wait to feel the sand on my feet at Castaway Cay.

Pocono

We lost our nice 80 degree temps here in Orlando, Yesterday was a rainny day. and today its to be in the 60's Right now at 10:30 am Its just 60. With a cold wind. Its to be in the 60's for the week. Hope it warms up around cruise time. Normal for this time of the year is the low 70's :cool1: John

No docs. here. I've been reading other threads and the docs. are coming around the 2 week mark. Can't wait. It's going into the single digits tonight. BRRRRR!

No Doc's here either. Stop sending that cold air down here in Florida, We dont want it!

Oh my goodness, it was 1 out this morning on the way to work. Wind chill at -10. Please tell me why I live in Michigan again . . . .

Rick

cold air is good for you and it helps to kill germs and clean the air. Michigan is a beatiful state with wonderful people. If you stayed anywhere else could you ever say Go Blue and know that you have the God given right to claim the U of M as part of you? puckerup:

Go blue?? Not for this Spartan Alum!! :cheer2:

I agree Michigan is a beautiful state, but sometimes winter takes it's toll. Hence the reason we always try to go somewhere warm in February! :teleport:

Nice little snowstorm this morning. :umbrella: Just enough to mess up morning rush hour and to force me to clean the driveway off . . .

Warm thoughts everyone :boat:

Rick :badpc:

Blue and Gold is such a better color than green and white! :cool1: The snow and cold can make you long for a nice warm winter day so I guess thats why we are leaving chicago and spending time with Mickey. :earboy2:

Have you guys read about the Pirates Night coming to the Wonder? We are excited! The new dining rotations are AAPT, PPTA, TTAP. Anyone bringing pirate gear for their kids?

Rick

I read in a tread that they are to start fireworks on the wonder during pirate night in Feb. I hope it will be in place by the time of our cruise. :moped: John

Is anyone bringing wetsuits (shorty or otherwise)? I'm a bit concerned about the water temperature variations.

Hey Rick,

It was a balmy 1 degree here too. We're getting upwards of 10inches of snow on Saturday into Sunday. Just in time for the Eagles' game. The sport casters are swearing that they will be able to clear the field in time. DH is counting the hours until we leave for sunny Florida. Why do we live the Poconos? Hmm, I may have to think about that.

I saw the other thread about Pirates Night and we're psyched. I have my fingers crossed for the fireworks.

Yep, we're supposed to get snow tomorrow as well. They say 5-7 inches. Let's hope they can get the field cleared off in time for Sunday's game. Go Eagles!
