2/11/13 Wonder Sweetheart Cruise

Just realized a HUGE mistake. Sorry Karyn... Could have cost you and myself. For some reason my pics weren't uploading right and were cutting off the allergies. Here is the fixed one!

Yes it is. I'm on the cruise prior to this and there is no way I could make any updates or have any last minute ones. I'm leaving on the 4th to head to Miami so that we an see the home we are potentially buying.

Please tell me if Hershey Nuggets are OK for allergy people? I don't want to give anything that will cause any issues...

Thanks...

I am unable to have these but no problems with the rest of my family. I am including a list of safe foods for people with peanut, tree nut and egg allergies. Unfortunately, I am a peanut and tree nut allergy...Karyn can weigh in on her particulars since no two people are really the same even with allergies.

Hi Debbie,
our whole family is fine, no allergies.
Thanks, Camilo

Thanks for double checking on the allergies! I am sensitive to walnuts and pecans - but I am not in danger if I am exposed to them, it just hurts! Anything I can't eat, I pass on to the rest of my group.

Hello!

We are so excited for our first Disney Cruise (my first cruise ever!).
This is our Honeymoon vacation as we got married in October but had to postpone scheduling a honeymoon due to busy work schedules.

Thanks for all the tips and tricks we've been reading on here. Can't wait to get on board and meet everyone!

Welcome! I can't believe we are getting so close:)

Hey, emtmom0104, I see there's a peanut/tree nut allergy in your group. I'm making a bath and body product with Sweet Almond Oil- are you alright with this or should I leave it out of your FE? I don't want anybody reaching for an epi-pen mid cruise

It's me with the stupid allergies:/. I'm not sure if the oils would be an issue or not but rather err on the side of caution and say I'd stay away, please dot be offended. They sound amazing. It's still a fairly new diganosis for me so I'm still learning it myself:(

Hi all!

So excited to be cruising for the first time & on Disney to boot! We just booked today so 19 days isn't that long to wait. (Unless you live in MN and it's been below ZERO for the last three days!)

Looking forward to figuring all this out. New friends, dining, day trip excursions...so much to learn. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and see you soon!

No worries! That's why I wanted to ask!

Welcome!

I can sympathize with the cold. I'm in Delaware and the highs are like 20 with a wind chill in the single digits:(. I HATE the cold. My move to Florida can't happen soon enough. This is my families 4th&5th cruises on DCL! We are doing our first excursion in grand cayman..swimming with the dolphins!!! I'm so excited! Any questions just ask

Our flight gets into MIA Monday 2/11 @ noon...is that going to be enough time to get from the airport to the ship, checked in and boarded? I'm really nervous right now about the flight arrangements...

Thanks,
Kelly

We flew out of Phl to mco last year or so. Our flight left at 7 am with no delays. We took all carry-ons so no luggage to find at the airport. When an open ME opened we boarded and they took all our bags and stored them under the bus. It's like an hour and half drive from MCO to port canaveral, you retrieve your luggage, go through screening to get into the terminal an then head over to check in. Then you wait for your boarding number to be called. It wasn't until almost noon when we finally boarded.

Kelly,
Yes, you are cutting it close! With no flight delays you will be fine. If DCL booked your flights you will be fine since they will make sure you are on the ship. Are you taking DCL transportation to the ship? I have no idea how far the Port of Miami is from MIA. All that has to be factored in. It is winter, there are often weather delays - simply deicing a plane takes time. If you have connecting flights, waiting for luggage, getting a cab of rental car etc. all eats up time. If there is any way you can change your flight to earlier or even the night before it will be more comfortable getting to the ship on time. Best advice if you have to fly in the day of: get the first nonstop flight of the day.

On the other hand, it could all work together perfectly as it is. Personally, I would allow more wiggle room, especially in the winter.

Not trying to worry you - just wanting you onboard with us!!!

Karyn
