1st Week of December

Changed my reservations from 2ND week of December to the 1st week (Nov30-Dec11) The only All-Star open was in preferred location. The only moderate open was CBR. When I checked on-line I found the same, plus the Contemporary only had suites. I thought the 1st week of December was supposed to be fairly low crowds. Should I be concerned?

The value and moderate resorts are used by attendees of the Pop Warner events going on in early December, but even with them there, the parks are much less crowded than during the summer or holiday periods.

The value resorts and a few moderates ( I think POR) will have pop warner cheerleaders and football players. Their 'Superbowl' is usually the first week of Dec. and they block off rooms for them. The parks will not be a problem- we were at POFQ two years ago at this time and only saw a few groups of cheerleaders- only had 5-10 minute waits at most rides and walked on a lot. If you stay at the same resort as them, you might want to do some research on these boards to be prepared. Some have stayed at the same resort as the pop warner groups and had no problems, while others report many, many problems. Just do a search on this and the resort board- you'll find lots of posts. Thanks. I did know about Pop Warener, I think I just didn't realize the scale of it. I was hoping to switch over to a moderate if we couldn't stand it at the value. It seems that that will be unlikely --they might not have rooms. My main reason for sticking with the value is that I can afford 2 rooms --my 6 & 4 yrs old wil never sleep otherwise. However, I just realized that my 2 rooms at the ASMo is only $150 less than 1 room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge -- the thought of having to pretend to be asleep and then tip toeing around the room to get ready for the next day is unappealing though.
