***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

@Talby so sorry to hear about the court troubles! :( really sucks having to deal with that right now! Really hope you can get it all sorted ! Like @Lisa F said you really are a source for positivity for all of us here. Disney is coming up soon! It'll have to be an extra great vacation for you

It is nuts! Mine have FINALLY moved! They started in Memphis on 11/4, then went to Bensenville, Illinois from 11/7 to 11/10. Now they are back in Memphis, scheduled to be delivered Monday.
So happy you're getting it On Monday! I guess that's the one thing that's good about being in Canada, we know exactly when we will receive it

Haha, mine too. Started in Nashville, then Bensenville. Now mine are in York, PA.

you are talking to the girl whose "diaper bag" was a ziploc bag, two diapers, a travel pack of wipes and another ziplock bag tucked inside her normal purse. I like to travel light.

I've been putting things like tickets and magic bands into my park backpack. Also the ponches from last trip.
my packing list is like 10 sets of underwear each
10 pairs of pants, 10 tshirts for kiddo. 10 pairs of socks.
2 pairs of pants (i do not wipe my hands on my clothes when I am eating :P), 10 sets of under things, 10 tshirts
1 sweatshirt for each of us
1 swimsuit for each of us, my coverup, pool appropriate shoes (i have this packed up from the summer, just need shake the sand out and transfer it over)
1 hat for each of us
my toiletry bag that I keep packed all the time (I go off island a lot so I am always ready to go, will make sure I have full shampoo and conditioners in there!)
I need to gather up a medication bag with aleve, pepto, benedryl, minor first aid kid, foot care kit, kids prescription meds and mine.
dog dog (kid's stuffed animal).

for the plane, electronics and sorcerers of the magic kingdom cards and binder.

i think that's about it, lol. what am I missing?
Lol love this! Seems so relaxed when I'm feeling like a nervous breakdown trying to make a packing list and packing everything in it! I don't seem to know how to pack light with a toddler and want to bring everything with me! :scared1: Need to keep reminding myself I can buy stuff if I don't bring it!

Okay quick update. DH confirmed with the cruise ID people he is indeed in good standing so now we have to go to Disney (and we have cc'd every email we have for them since they never answer their phone when you call) and sent them proof etc that he is indeed a real travel agent and he is entitled to the discount because he has jumped through every hoop that Disney has made travel agents jump through to get our discounts. I am so upset. Our family has been through so much in the last 3 years and this is our first vacation since 2014. And to be honest we wouldn't be staying at Beach Club without the discount - guaranteed we'd be offsite or just not going at all. We've always cruised as vacation since the discounts and benefits are great for agents and we've never had an issue with DH's status. But Disney has made us jump through hoops from day one of booking this vacation which has been in January. I can tell you that if DH does not like Disney he will never sell a Disney vacation and he will make sure all his fellow agents know what a bad experience he had. We have 3 weeks to sort this out but this is not the kind of stress I need.

As for the flights, apparantly it can't be resolved before 3 days before we leave. I have half a mind to cancel my flights and rebook independently and just eat the costs - but I really can't afford to do that.

I printed these out on paper, cut, and then folded them up to make envelopes; sealing the back with tape. Happy to email these to you.
Thanks so much for the offer! I actually bought small envelopes already so I'll probably just opt to decorate those. Heehee! I also don't have a printer at home so I'd have to print it at staples if ever. :)

Ugh, that is so messed up! I'm really hoping they get it all straightened out. Hang in there!

Well when you put it that way, it seems pretty easy. LOL Don't forget pajamas!

They came out great!! I need to work on mine this weekend

I think living on an island has also helped me pare down my idea of "need." there are no targets or walmarts, no 24 hour pharmacies... nothing. If I need something I can't find here my best bet is amazon and waiting 2 days. There is very little I feel like I can't live without

I really hope this gets sorted out and that you both will feel it's worth it after! Seems like a whole lot of stress befor the trip... we will definitely have a stiff drink or two at jbjb:hug:

Lol I guess that's the problem with living in a city where you can cross the street for a grocery!

I know my ticker says 31 days (well to me at least) but

3 WEEKS FROM TODAY. OMG :faint: I'm suddenly feeling WOEFULLY unprepared! This weekend I need to clean for the cleaning people who are coming next week. Then I have realistically one weekend to get all of my crap together that I can. then thanksgiving. then leaving. I think I am going to need to order the kiddo some more pants, we won't have time to do laundry and he is going to need more than I own!

honestly I am wondering if I should put him in shorts all day and bring a pair of sweats if he gets cold at night.

right now... overwhelmed!
It says 31 days for me, too. We are going three weeks from tomorrow and am not prepared at all. We have out of towners coming in tomorrow but have Thanksgiving weekend to pack everything up. Due to the fact that we are remodeling and don't have a kitchen right now we will be eating Thanksgiving at my sister's place. That is a big break for me since we normally host it.

My husband asked me this morning what he should pack for Disney and I told him that he wouldn't know until three days out. I just said that so that I don't have to think about it. ;)

I think we all need a stiff drink at jbjb, what do you say?
I hope that Disney honors the discounts. What a mess.

Hugs for @Talby I hope everything works out for you.

I spent some time this morning working on our arrival day plans. I wanted to make note in my MDE account of all the fireworks and shows we wanted to see that day. And I was able to move Soarin' to a better time, too.

So here is the arrival day plan, Dec 3rd - Saturday - We have to wake up at 3am for our early flight. Our flight lands at 9:35am - We hope to check into GF sometime around 11;00 to 11;30am. Then we plan to hang around, explore, eat, take a nap - this is required since we skipped the nap last trip and DH was wiped out by 8:30pm. We hope it is warm enough to go swimming - or just lay by the pool, in the sun, away from Midwest winter cold.
Around 4pm we will be entering Epcot and riding Soarin'. Then we will catch the British Revolution at 5:05pm, either eating something at Epcot or walk to the Crews Cup Lounge at YC to eat some dinner. Then we are walking to Hollywood Studios to catch the jbjm show. :) Very excited.

ETA: If we have enough energy then I want to try to catch Once Upon a Time at MK at 10:45pm. That is why the nap is required. ;)

I'm so sorry! I hope it gets sorted out soon so that you don't have to deal with the stress!

I used to live in a rural area. Our nearest Walmart or Target was 40 minutes away and we generally went grocery shopping once/week. We had a small grocery store 10 miles away in the next town but it was expensive or there was a convenience store/gas station in town for the occasional gallon of milk or loaf of bread. We're spoiled now that we live in the city.

Everything seems sorted. Miscommunication between Disney and the Cruise travel folks :sad2:
Someone must have had a fire lit under their @ss because now they're being extra helpful. DH will pick up his ticket at HS on our first park day and then hopefully I can still score him some FP+ that align with mine for our last MK day (we got his other park days covered with air miles). It seems our hotel reservation will be fine. I'm taking deep breaths with 3 weeks to go. I'm only working one more day with my client next week (glad, because they are starting to wear on me a bit) and I've passed my contract on to a colleague and will still get a referral bonus so that's really great!

Also looks like one of my certifications I've been working on will get done before the trip so that's a nice thing to have completed under my belt before I leave.

I intend to FULLY enjoy this work free weekend (my first in a bit) and we will hit the dollar store for envelopes, Disney stickers (so DD can help me decorate the envelopes), ziplock bags, glow sticks!

You shouldn't need to do anything else. We have a couple of PPOs and were told they have a list with your name/reservation on it and will just let you in early. They will let you in as early as 7:45 for any PPO, so go early and take pictures on empty streets if you like! I have also been told that they go ahead and seat PPO reservations early, so you don't need to wait until 8:40 to be at the restaurant.
This is something I really need to remember!
