***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Looks like a great plan! Great you get to experience everything and have a break built in too! On your first day, I'm not sure if you want to include FoF in there somewhere :)
@Candycane83 or anyone :) what's your thoughts on the Tonys lunch package? And is FoF a must see in your opinion? What if it's the same day in plans at mvmcp? (Are 2 parades really better than 1?) Thanks :)

Can you not change the # of guests down for CRT online? I grabbed an ADR for a party of 4 and was going to change down to a party of 2, but the only option is to cancel reservation or update which guests are going. I'm guessing I can call and do it over the phone at least. I hope.

I have not watched FoF in person yet but from what I hear, it's a must see. Watch the video on youtube just to judge if you want to see it. We plan on watching it at Frontierland by Country Bears and I think it's maybe half an hour wait at most. I would not do the package for that if you want to eat/ allot your dining credits elsewhere. If you have a dining credit to spare, it is a good value for it. The viewing is at the flagpole too so it's a good view of it.

Hmm, maybe because it's prepay? Call and try, if not, call again and try again ;)

I'm so sad... EMM for 11/29 is sold out! It's the only one that has sold out... like EVER (unless maybe the first one did with all the bloggers and whatnot). It's the only sold out one so far for our trip. Ugh... Now we have to decide what to do. We were planning to do MVMCP on 11/27, EMM on 11/29, and then another MVMCP on 12/1. I held off on buying the party tickets in case we decide to hit the party on 11/29 since we can't do EMM that morning. I can't believe this!

Tony's is rated pretty much the worst restaurant in all of the World, YMMV of course. Personally, I love Disney parades and wouldn't want to miss out on any of them. They are loaded with characters, with some walking along waving and shaking hands with parade goers. They are colorful and exciting for the young and young at heart. The two have completely different parades/floats/costumes, but may have some of the same characters. If at all possible, due to time restraints, maybe do one on another day. One of my favorite parade memories was on my DM/my birthday trip at DHS (when they used to have a parade). One of the army men started a conversation/flirting on his microphone (for all to hear) with me from the float. I was blushing and M was laughing his butt off seeing as I was wearing my bride gear.

This may have already been discussed, and I just don't remember.

Pop Warner's party is at Animal Kingdom on the night of the 7th. They are staying at All Stars, Caribbean Beach, and Coronado.

I'd say that is pretty good confirmation Rivers of Light will be up and running by our dates. Why have a nighttime party if you don't have a nighttime show?

It will probably (I'm part of the original Rumors thread, so I'm not counting those chickens yet) be running, but I have a feeling they changed parks for their party more for the fact that so much is closed at DHS.

@Candycane83 Thanks. I actually have a 3rd MK day on 12/9 (still working on that plan so didn't post) and will do FoF on that day with my friend and her DD! We'll do other things like Enchanted Tales that day with a FP and have some other repeat FP (7DMT, Peter Pan) too :-)

Just to help you in decision-making...
I also REALLY wanted to see the Beast, but was told by the CM that he isn't at BOG during parade time. Not sure what time he leaves BOG, but if your reservation is at 7:55, and parade starts at 8:15, I'm assuming he won't be there when you're done with dinner and would be going to his room to see him.

Someone correct me if they've heard otherwise, but I had the same problem as you and when I found out he wouldn't be there during our reservation time (8:35), it's value seemed much less to me.

BOG is still worth eating dinner at IMO on a regular night...wondering, though, if it's worth it on a party night if you can't see the Beast.

ARGH!!!! Thank you so much for the info {grrr}
okay, maybe I will just cancel this one now and keep looking for an earlier one.

Anyone need a BOG on 12/6 (MVMCP night)?
3 people at 7:55 pm

@Mintycake The ADR spreadsheet had you looking for an 'Ohana breakfast on 12/8 at 10am. I saw one during my searching for 11:15 and grabbed it. I know it's later than you indicated, but let me know if you want it and we can transfer it to you. Otherwise, I can drop it back!

Sharing my plans for my first two days, which are MK days. I plugged my FP into Touring Plans and have come up with this. What do you all think?

Sunday 12/4-- arrive MK around lunch
  • Quick Service at Cosmic Rays
  • Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
  • FP+ Space Mountain (Me, DD)
  • FP+ Buzz (DH, DD while Me, DD on Space Mountain)
  • Space Mountain Rider Swap (DH, DD)
  • Astro Orbiter (Me, DS while DH, DD on Space Mountain)
  • Buzz (SDFP for all of us so DD can ride, or standby if line not too long)
  • FP+ Tomorrowland Speedway (all of us)
  • FP+Ariel's Grotto (all of us) at 3:30
  • Haunted Mansion (SDFP?)
  • Jingle Cruise (SDFP?)
  • Pirates (SDFP?)
  • Aladdin Magic Carpets
  • Dumbo
  • Little Mermaid (SDFP?)
  • 6:15: A Frozen Holiday Wish
  • Dinner at Chef Mickey's, hopefully at 7pm (currently holding 7:40 reservation and don't want to kill an hour with the littles)
We are basically starting in Tomorrowland and trying to get it all done! Throwing in a little Fantasyland and Adverntureland. I've plugged this all into Touring Plans with some SDFP and it works nicely, but obviously will adjust as needed. Our Ariel's grotto FP window is at 3:30, so will do as many of the other rides as we can in that list up until the 6:15 Frozen Holiday Wish before dinner.

Monday 12/5-- All Day MK with break
  • Enter MK at 7:45 for 8am PPO Be Our Guest
  • 7DMT (only if can do so without line before RD crowd)
  • Peter Pan (@ RD because want to experience the queue)
  • Rapunzel M&G
  • Barnstormer
  • Dumbo
  • FP+Talking Mickey
  • Country Bear Jamboree
  • Tom Sawyer Island
  • FP+ Splash Mountain (me, DD)
  • Splash Mountain Rider Swap (DH, DD)
  • FP+ Big Thunder Mountain (DH, DD)
  • Big Thunder Mountain Rider Swap (Me, DD
  • Quick service lunch either at Pecos Bill or Oak Post
  • Long break at Port Orleans Riverside (4-5 hour break, back around 5:30-6)
  • Mickey's Philarmagic
  • FP+ 7DMT (6:15 in the twilight/dark)
  • Prince Charming Carousel
  • 7:10 dinner at Be Our Guest
  • It's a Small World
  • Winnie the Pooh
  • Wishes!
We are basically starting in Fantasyland then Adventureland, break and back to Fantasyland for the evening. I've plugged this all into Touring Plans without SDFP and it works nicely, but obviously will adjust as needed if I can add some SDFP, especially for Rapunzel M&G or It's a Small World/Winnie in the evening. Not sure anything else really needs SDFP. We're going to end the day with Wishes and NOT have an early start the next day!
VERY NICE USE OF RIDER SWAP!!

Out of curiosity, @Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL how did you do your FP for Hollywood Studios, if you all will be going there? I currently have three there-- Toy Story Mania, Star Tours, and Tower of Terror. I want to split my Tower of Terror and Star Tours into 2 for each of us and utilize rider swap since my DS can't ride either, but am wondering what to add as a third one that is not tier 1. Maybe the Little Mermaid? Not sure what would be best here or if adding a fast pass for a show makes any difference. We'll try and do some SDFP here but not sure it makes sense with the shows. We already have a Fantasmic dining package so we're covered for Fantasmic.
Yes we're doing HS. At work right now. So not much time to post. But was planning on posting itinerary tonight.

ETA: @SilSprBea,
I found HS to be the toughest of all to plan for a few reasons.
1. We're not really a Star Wars family (I know blasphemy to some people) although we are looked no forward to Star Tours.
2. FP+ tiered 1 and 2 rides make things even trickier.
3. Overall there's just not a lot to choose from IMHO compared to other parks.

So here's our plans for our HS day:
(DS is 2 so no FP+ needed for him)

-8:10 PPO breakfast H&V
-8:45 head to TSMM hopefully before role drop crowd. (if park hours change my whole plan is FUBAR!!)
~8:45-11:00: TSMM, GMR, One man's dream, Muppet vision 3-D
11:00 FP+ DW, DD Frozen sing along
11:00 FP+ me, DS2 TSMM again

12:00 lunch 50's Prime Time Cafe

12:50-1:50 FP+ me, DD Star Tours get rider swap for DW, DD
1:55-2:55 FP+ DW ToT. (Im the only one that wants to ride so I will use her MB to enter FP line)
2:55-3:55 FP+ RRC DW, DD get rider swap for me, DD

4:10 dinner Hollywood Brown Derby w/ Fantasmic

Planning on SDFP for some other stuff not listed here.

We still have 1 remaking FP for me, not sure where to use it though.

FoF is a must do for me. I have watched it every single time I've been in MK since it arrived. It's not really hard to get a decent viewing spot though unless you're just adamant about main street or the hub. We usually watch it in Liberty Square right outside the Christmas shop, and we've never needed to stake out more than 30 minutes ahead of time.

@Iowamomof4 I'm so sorry about this :( I can imagine your disappointment, and I hope you can find another day in your plans to make EMM work

Just curious... Is it possible to take uber/taxi from the poly to Epcot? And how long would you think the ride would be if it can be done? Thanks!

I'm sure it is possible. Just not too sure where you are let off at Epcot. It says 9 mins in google maps via car so I'm guessing around 10-15mins. :) I plan to do this on my PPO day on Dec 7, uber from CR to Epcot.

Where's your PPO that day? Akershus or Garden Grill? Can't recall. We have a PPO that day too, but at Garden Grill. We're going to drive since we have our car..

Akershus. I think @rasadkowski has the same PPO. :) I decided to stick with lunch on another day for Garden Grill. Going to see if we can ride FEA with no wait. If not, I would go straight to Joy and Sadness. :)
