***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Ugh, we've all got colds in this house! :crazy2: It started of course with DD1 and now it's spread to the baby and I! So far, DH has managed to avoid it so far. But man, we feel terrible. We've spent the day so far just resting and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!:rolleyes1

Hope this passes soon! We have a busy weekend, and we'd hate to miss out on it.

Feel better! A lot of people sick at work! I still have a random cough and hoarseness a month after getting it!

@Talby That's a lot of work--hope the process goes swimmingly for you!

@pigletgirl Hope you all feel better soon--it's not fun being sick.

@Maryemcd There are so many good spots to see Illuminations and you can get your own treats to snack on. Unless you really want the dessert party, I'd let it go.

Just a rumor right now but really hope they release info soon, whatever it may be! Really wanna know more about ROL and DHS fireworks! :jumping1:

@JamieOak I was so sad when they announced it would be the end of Osborne lights last year. It was one of the things that most impressed DH from 4years ago n I'm sure my DS would have loved it. I would love if they had something festive at DHS too:)

CRAP! I just read a few pages back that Pop Warner is having their party at AK on December 7. And OF COURSE that's our AK day. How bad will it be? We have all our plans/ADR/FP stuff completely planned and it would be really hard to swap that with another day.
Our kids are all under age 8 so maybe we won't be running in the same circle as the older kids?

I think it doesn't affect the crowds during the day, rather the park just closes early. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

@Candycane83 or anyone :) what's your thoughts on the Tonys lunch package? And is FoF a must see in your opinion? What if it's the same day in plans at mvmcp? (Are 2 parades really better than 1?) Thanks :)

I have a Tony's package booked for 12/6 our last day. We'll be getting an Uber to MCO right after the parade. I've been to Tony's several times ... First time I was 5. The food is not great but it's not awful.
I called and the Chef is going to make the pistachio crème brulee for my DD (they took it off the menu)

Does the FoF package guarantee main street viewing of the parade?
It's at the flag pole.

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I'm buried under college/FAFSA stuff at the moment, but just wanted to poke in with an FYI that IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party is now bookable in December. :cake:

Finished my FAFSA last weekend! Now I have the CSS to complete. DD is almost done with her common app. GOOD luck to you! :flower1:

STOP tempting me with more desserts!!!! :cake:

From @rteetz about SWAGS possibility...

No....no....no.....:scared1:

Yes we're doing HS. At work right now. So not much time to post. But was planning on posting itinerary tonight.

ETA: @SilSprBea,
I found HS to be the toughest of all to plan for a few reasons.
1. We're not really a Star Wars family (I know blasphemy to some people) although we are looked no forward to Star Tours.
2. FP+ tiered 1 and 2 rides make things even trickier.
3. Overall there's just not a lot to choose from IMHO compared to other parks.

So here's our plans for our HS day:
(DS is 2 so no FP+ needed for him)

-8:10 PPO breakfast H&V
-8:45 head to TSMM hopefully before role drop crowd. (if park hours change my whole plan is FUBAR!!)
~8:45-11:00: TSMM, GMR, One man's dream, Muppet vision 3-D
11:00 FP+ DW, DD Frozen sing along
11:00 FP+ me, DS2 TSMM again

12:00 lunch 50's Prime Time Cafe

12:50-1:50 FP+ me, DD Star Tours get rider swap for DW, DD
1:55-2:55 FP+ DW ToT. (Im the only one that wants to ride so I will use her MB to enter FP line)
2:55-3:55 FP+ RRC DW, DD get rider swap for me, DD

4:10 dinner Hollywood Brown Derby w/ Fantasmic

Planning on SDFP for some other stuff not listed here.

We still have 1 remaking FP for me, not sure where to use it though.
Ok so I have a question about FP at HS. Hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction. I quoted my own post above with our plans for HS.

Is the Frozen Sing Along even worth using a FP for? I can't remember this from our last trip years ago. I've never seen wait times listed for this in MDE. But when I just checked for available FP on my day there aren't a whole lot left. What changes would you make with my FP selections above. I was originally planning on FP for Mickey and Minnie Staring in Red Carpet Dreams but it seems this is not offered as a FP option. Please be brutally honest. TIA.

PS
We're not really a Star Wars family, but I know that's a big part of most people's days at HS.

I wonder the same thing! A friend told me little mermaid sometimes fills up but not sure if it true. With the tiered system it's hard to find another fast pass to use!

Wow.. I would think it would be strange to plan a new special holiday production just for a few weeks, or I guess month or 2.... Isn't the Star Wars show kinda new? ..... But, as always, I don't really know what I'm talking about :thumbsup2
No....that is sad. Guess I may hang on to the mama Melrose f! Lunch I have!

Not sure l got oNE bc it's a big priority for our family.

Not sure but there's really not much choices for little kids- muppets, little mermaid or frozen. I was thinking of using an. FP for frozen too.:confused3 I think general consensus is you don't need FP for shows. Would love someone else's opinion too.
